Best weight loss plan for losing 35 pounds in 7 months?
My husband is getting deployed to Iraq and I think the best present I could give him (and for myself) would be to loose all the extra pounds and look like i did in high school. My target weight loss areas are thighs, butt, stomach. I have little motivation to work out I cant afford a gym and I work alot. It would motivate me to have a work out buddy but none of my friends even care about losing weight (when they should). HELP!

Please help im trying to lose weight, i have made up a food plan, exercise plan as follows:
Breakfast: high fibre cerial w low fat milk n banana n tspn honey + cup water
Mtea: sustagen drink (w low fat milk)
+ some mixed dried fruit n nuts
Lunch: wholemeal bread sandwich w cup salad, slice low fat cheese + little low fat mayo + cup water
Atea: sustagen drink (w low fat milk)
peice of fruit
Dinner: 100g lean meat, 2 cups veg, 20g low fat cheese.
1 cup fruit salad w 1/2 cup low fat yogurt + cup water
Exercise: 30 mins step aerobics every day.
15 mins weights every day.
+ walking where possible (eg leave car home when shopping)
Will this make me lose weight, the calories are supposed to be within the right range with what i worked out, but does that seem like a lot of food ????

I walk my dogs every day, and do hip hop abs, dont count calories, it bums you out and then your more likely to stray from your diet because of the effort, eat what you think is good. its ok to treat yourself sometimes.
What is the best weight loss supplement on the market?
I am trying to lose weight. Have been for 4 years. I am a vegetarian and i know the right things to eat. I exercise 5 days a week including cardio and weight training i still to this day havent lost over 20 lbs. And it yo-yos . i want to try something new. Please let me know thanks.

They are all expensive and a waste of time. The best way is the natural way. Eat less calories, do more exercise. If your are honestly doing both of these things on a consistent basis and you still aren’t losing any weight, get a checkup to make sure there is nothing physically wrong (like thyroid problem) that is keeping you from losing.
And don’t believe that “cell cleansing crap”. It’s just making someone rich and is a scam.
Healthy Weight Loss?
Hey everyone, just wondering if you could tell me how long it will take me to lose 14lbs? At the moment I’m 5 foot 4 and 127lbs and after being at University I would love to go back to my normal weight of 113lbs. I eat really healthily…I have a banana and cornflakes/weetabix for breakfast and for lunch I have a greek salad/soup/scrambled eggs with rice cakes and for dinner I have a medium portion of food with limited carbs, I only snack on fruit and I either walk for an hour a day or dance for an hour a day and I’m not gonna drink until I lose the weight (even though it’s my 20th birthday in 2 weeks!). Any tips on how to lose the weight a bit quicker without it being a crash diet?

i have been doing a “lifestyle change” that paul mckena teaches…..start by putting your fork down between every bite and chewing your food 20 times each bite….also visit this website and click on ‘visit paul mckena site’ and you will learn even more….there are people that have lost lots of weight doing this….but you could loose only 10 if you want to.
Has anyone had weight loss pills prescribed by their doctor?
At 15stone I am obese. I have lost 6 pounds in four weeks but feel I need some help. I have an appointment next week to see my doctor in the hope that he will prescribe something to help me and to supervise my weight loss ( I don’t have the funds for slimming clubs).

losing 6 pound in a month is very good and if you continue you will get yur esult!!
maybe try and eat less and excersise more and you will gradually lose more weight but dont forget to change you diet around to keep ur metablosm going

No diet pill is effective in the long term. Just admit to yourself that you have to eat less and exercise more. Your mental strength will thank you for it.

well i know someone who used to be a size 15 womens last summer, did not see her till today , now she is a size 11 i asked her what she did and she said nothing, and lately i have noticed she has been kinda sick(vomiting , dizzy stuff like that) she does not have an eating disorder, so can sudden weight loss make you sick?

this soundz like an ED however if you’re sure it’s not, i’d advice her to go to the doctors, she may have an issue with her stomach lining or something..whatever it is it doesn’t sound healthy. good luck
Teenage Weight Loss Question?
I want to lose 20 pounds. I am 130 pounds, 5′3”, and 16 years old. I am a size 8. I want to lose 20 pounds and go down to a size 4 at least. I also want to tone up my body for the winter sports season. Does anybody have any ideas for diet and exercise? Please all suggestions welcome. Why does it come so easily for others? I hate sitting with my friends while they are all size twos and eating brownies, cookies, and chips.

Insulin plays a major role in weight gain, and even keeps us from losing weight. Insulin is responsible for the storage of all the foods we eat: carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. However, high glycemic carbohydrates cause blood sugars to rise very rapidly, therefore causing the pancreas to release insulin very rapidly. In some people the body overcompensates and releases too much. The insulin will store these carbohydrates/sugars very quickly. The good side is you get a quick burst of energy; the bad side is most of what is eaten will be stored as fat. Since the blood sugars rose very rapidly, the insulin will try to bring the blood sugars within normal ranges very rapidly, causing the sugars to be pushed by the insulin into every cell, including fat cells. On the other hand, if you eat low-to-moderate glycemic carbohydrates, blood sugars rise more slowly; therefore so does insulin. When this happens more of what you ate is pushed into your body’s cells to be used for energy, and whatever is left over will be stored in fat cells. Weight loss programs ensure how to control insulin and blood sugar levels so optimal weight loss results will be achieved.
Insulin activates lipoprotein lipase. This enzyme acts as a roadblock for the removal of triglycerides (fat) out of the fat cells. Insulin also inhibits another enzyme called hormone sensitive lipase. This enzyme is responsible for the breaking down of stored fats, on your waist so to speak. During exercise if insulin levels are high, your body will use more energy from carbohydrates/sugars than from fat. Now you can see why most people see very little or no results in weight reduction, even though they exercise. The key is to control your insulin and blood sugars levels
Weight loss taking Lamictal?
I just recently started taking Lamictal for bi polar disorder. I’m only on the 50mg because I just started taking it about 2 and a half weeks ago and my mood has been great so far, but me and my girlfriend have just been noticing that my appetite has changed and my weight has just gone down ever since I started taking it. I’m not exactly the type that should be losing weight either. I’m 17 years old, about 5′2″ and I usually weight around 105 lbs. Lately though, my weight just keeps going down and down and now I weigh about 97 lbs. I love the way the medication is working on me psychologically, but physically, it feels like it’s sucking the life out of me. I don’t know if I should just talk to my psychiatrist about it or ask my therapist on our thursday meeting about it and see what he thinks. Is it normal for me to lose weight as a beginning stage of taking this medication? Or is it something I need to look into and start taking a different medication?

I suggest mentioning it to your doctor. If you are like me when I am happy and feeling great I lose weight. And the opposite when I’m depressed. Lamictal itself usually will not affect your weight either way. It will not prevent you from losing weight as most drugs do and does not increse appetite. It could simply be that you are losing weight because you feel great. In any case discuss it with you psychiatrist not your therapist, I know mine are very clear as to who I should talk to regarding the medical aspect of it(eg:medications) and let him know what is going on. i walk my dog for about 5 hours a week, and do about 300 situps a week. i desperately want to lose some inches! my waist is 28″, hip 30″ and breast 33″. any tips for me? thanks in advance.

How to deal with people/situations that could sabotage weight loss?
Trying to lose weight (unsuccessfully) and notice with all the best intentions, my efforts go to pot at work and with family (that’ll be most of the day, then :-))
If a friend wants to go for lunch, I usually agree to get out of the office - then end up eating crap food (work in a very very backward town).
Our office is terrible for people bringing cakes in and I can’t stop myself.
And my parents buy snacks sometimes and I can’t say no.
Any advice?!

Recruit! Tell your friends and family what your goals are and how they can specifically help you reach those goals.
Mom, I’m really trying to lose weight and it would make my life so much easier if you could not keep ______(fill in the really tempting snack here) in the kitchen until my willpower is stronger.
Next ask the girls at work to do lunch with you, and pack some healthy stuff for everyone. At lunch tell them what you are trying to do, and see if you can’t all pack lunches together.
Social support is the number one factor in how successful a person is in making lifestyle changes!
