Guide to Vitamin C

Friday, May 23rd, 2008

The vitamin c has to the best-known vitamin these days. It is not surprising, because the body needs for vitamin c more than 300 functions. In fact, the vitamin c is proven to help protect against cardiovascular diseases, cancer and other serious diseases. Without the vitamin c the body would be unable to heal itself. This is because the c-vitamin is essential for the formation of collagen. When a person makes a cut or an injury is the collagen that helps to repair the damage and without adequate vitamin c, this would almost impossible. Collagen is a multitude of functions in the body, including the keeping of the organs in place, and it would not be able to do so without adequate vitamin c .

The vitamin c is also an antioxidant to the body and helps other vitamins and minerals to be better absorbed. Folic acid and iron, for example, the vitamin c to maximize their usefulness. The more vitamin c that the body has, the better his defense against colds and other diseases and vitamin c can not prevent a person catching a virus, but it helps accelerate the recovery process.

There is vitamin c in almost all fruit and vegetables, but some have much higher levels of vitamin c than others. Cranberries and melons have a high vitamin c content. In fact, tropical fruits have the highest amounts of vitamin c all fruit. S Hot peppers are among the richest sources of vitamin c when it comes to vegetables. The hotter the pepper, the higher the vitamin c content. Unfortunately, the c-vitamin is water soluble so many vegetables lose their effectiveness as ac vitamin if they cooked for a long time. Steamed or quick stir frying vegetables ensures that more of their vitamin c content is preserved. The recommended daily allowance of vitamin c is easily obtained from eating five servings of fruits and vegetables per day as they are consumed raw or cooked quickly .

vitamin C supplements are extremely useful to ensure that people get enough vitamin c. However, with a balanced diet, the amount of vitamin c receive the body, is probably enough. But if someone starts tiredness or lethargy than ac vitamin supplement will help overcome. There is no danger that too much vitamin c as the body simply excretes the excess.

Glutathione + Vitamin C.. Skin whitening…?

Hi,

I read an answer given by someone here on yahoo that, its good to take glutathione pills with vitamin C to maximize its effect of skin whitening. Im planning to get 500 mg glutathione pills and take one tablet daily. But, is mere consumption of fruits containing vitamin c with gluathione pills will do the task for me?? Im already taking multi-vitamins everyday and its dose also contain 60mg of vitamin c along with other vitamins… do i still have to take more vitamin c pills?? or wht should be the dosage??

I like to avoid taking pills as much as i can.. pls help..

thanks..

Answer :

Glutathione sold on the store shelves is mostly excreted out of your body and ends up not giving your body the intended effects. The molecule itself is too big to enter the cell. I have found a product call MaxGXL. The first ingredient is vitamin C

For proper body functioning & staying healthy, Max GXL is a must. Max GXL helps your body naturally produce an adequate supply of Glutathione which protects you from harmful affects of stress & over exertion, and is critical to optimal brain function. So if you are tired, overworked, aging or having other related problems, you need MAX GXL. It’s basically a Glutathione accelerator which will naturally increase your energy, detoxify your body and improve your immune system.

Max GXL is formulated to strengthen your immune system, and provide optimal health, greater energy, and enhanced athletic performance. It provides proper nutrients that develops & absorbs glutathione. Max GXL will detoxify your liver & thus help the liver to function as the main production site and storehouse for glutathione.

For more information send me an email or call me and I will send you the ingredient list.

Best Regards

Should people EAT or NOT eat oranges, vitamin c, chicken, chicken soup & spicy stuff when they’re sick?

I keep getting different stories.

Answer :

It’s best to eat light: broth(not soup), crackers, dry toast, plain white rice, diluted juice.

I find a cold goes away quicker if I fast for a day, and just have water or a little diluted juice.

“Feed a cold, starve a fever” is actually a misquote. It’s actually “If you feed a cold, you’ll have to starve a fever.”

Can i take a vitamin c and fish oil capsule together same time?

Does anyone know anything about bone cancer? How about vitamin c injections to treat cancer?

Answer :

Bone cancer (its actual medical name is bone tumor, there is no such thing as bone cancer, but that is totally irrelevant) is a serious matter but luckily it does not cause a high death rate. If the cancer can be caught early it can be treated with chemo but we many of us know that chemo is not always 100%. Chemo therapy is different with each type of bone cancer, Ewing’s Sarcoma shows to be terminated easily by chemo but others like chondrosarcoma are not as great. If the cancer is caught late then amputation will have to be a last resort. amputation will stop the cancer in its tracks but amputation is extremely hard to deal with. As for the vitamin C, i honestly do not see that woeking whatsoever. Linus Pauling, the only person to win two nobel prizes, strongy believed in high doses of vitamin C and that they will help him live longer and stronger but research on his brain and bones proved that he was no more immune to any disease or cancer than if he didn’t take the vitamin
C. Personally I feel that high doses of Calcium will be good as well as Cod liver oil might help. U should also consider stem cell…. If it falls within your beliefs.

If calcium inhibits the absorbtion of Vitamin C, what is the best way to take it?

I realized when I was eating an orange my Calcium suppliment I just took would block the C from the orange.

Answer :

it would be the vitamins pills which include everything (vitamin C and Calcium) or you can just take Calcium pill…….

Well milk is one way to get calcium…… (i never know calcium inhibits the absorption of vit. C so may be you should do em’ separately

Best liquid Vitamin C for guinea pigs?

I have 3 male piggies. Two of them chew the Oxbow Vit C tablets with no problems. The other one will only take it once in a great while. I know he should take it daily but he doesn’t. They are very picky and don’t eat all the fruit and vegtables that most pigs do. I tried a small slice of orange and I thought they were going to chew the bars off the cage trying to get away from it! My question is, what is the best liquid vitamin C product out there for guinea pigs? A lot of those vitamins you buy in the pet stores have so many other ingredients in them that I wonder if they need all that extra stuff!? I don’t care how much it costs. I just want the best! I feed them Oxbow pellets with romaine lettuce, carrots, celery, bananas, apples, and lots of Oxbow hay. I do offer lots of other things, but they are usually rejected. Can they get too much vitamin C? I was told that any extra will get “eliminated.”

Thanks for the help!

Answer :

Well, you certainly did your homework! I can tell you really love the little guys.

Guinea pigs know what (and how much) to eat to keep themselves healthy. They will instinctively eat what they need.

If you buy good quality GP food, you don’t need to supplement it, it’s already in there.

Don’t worry about it, they are fine. You are feeding them exactly what they need.

I just Brought Mega B Complex Vitamins, but i’m not sure about the Directions for use, can u help me out ?

Its Says Take one Tablet daily with food,

Does it means i take 1 tablet while i’m Eating my lunch or dinner ?

Answer :

That means you can take the tablet after eating your food. You can not take this on empty stomach. Food need not be lunch or dinner, it may even be some snacks. Only thing you have to remember is that most of the medicines should not be taken on empty stomach. I am using the Vitamins myself. But it is preferable that you take them regularly at a fixed time. This rule applies for any medicine.

Is B-complex vitamins for anti-anxiety?

do B-complex vitamins work for people with social anxiety? how long do I have to take the vitamins to see any big improvements? If you are suffering from social anxiety and taking this, describe what it does, or do u recommend another vitamin that’s only for social anxiety?

Answer :

Its a nutrient your brain and nerves need ! If a person’s foods don’t supply enough for that person’s bodily needs, then symptoms of vitamin deficiency will develop, and anxiety does tend to develop then. I guess it was nature’s means to get a creature to start worrying to start getting better nutrition, and energy to survive too. Today’s foods are often poor for nutrients because of accelerated mass production, processing and preservatives that can work against full nutrition, and some products have extra vitamins replenished “vitamin enriched” because it lost so much of the original vitamins in them. Some people really need or can benefit from more vitamins (but still must be below toxic levels), other people may not need supplements. The B-vitamins work together and should be balanced, and must be taken with starchy foods like bread or rice. With adequate amounts of b-complex vitamins, a person can handle the social and other stresses better, i
t does help to cope and thrive despite stress.

You might also want to check GABA . Its a normal substance the body produces within, and some people either produce a bit less or don’t use it efficiently, so supplements might help. Contact a health food / nutrition store or a naturopath about that. Its cool.

What’s up with all the ignorant thumbs-downs ??????????

What is vitamin B complex? cod liver oil?how should i take them?

Answer :

Vitamin B complex is a bunch of B vitamins that your body needs, but doesn’t produce naturally. (you need to eat them) Cod liver oil is fish oil, which contains a lot of Omega 3 fatty acids that we typically don’t get enough of in our regular diet.

I take one multivitamin per day, which contains B vitamins and I also take a couple Fish Oil capsules. I just take them with a meal and it’s really easy, unless you aren’t into the whole pill thing. You can get liquids of both, but pill-form is probably easier and cheaper. If you don’t take them with a meal, they could upset your stomach (the Bs/multivitamin) and/or not be as effective. (the cod oil)

If i take a vitamin b complex capsule everyday is there any problem?

Answer :

Not at all ? The B complex of vitamins is essential for healthy neural, immune and digestive functioning and will help your body deal with the everyday dramas and stresses that we are confronted with better ?

Ensure that you are taking a good quality multi B complex that includes all the B’s as they work best synergistically ie ~ B1, B2, B3, B5,B6 and B12 and folic acid. If you are having trouble digesting your tablets go get yourself some organic apple cider vinegar and put 2 tablespoons full into a glass, mix up and drink up…….. the apple cider vinegar will increase the production of hydrochloric acid in your tummy and aid in digestion. Ensure you buy organic as the commercial varieties have had way too much of thegoodness taken out of them to be used therapeutically. …….. also ensure that you shake well before using to disperse the mother (active ingredient)throughout and that you drink it through a straw to protect the enamel on your teeth ?

Should I take Vitamin B complex?

In addition to taking multivitamins, should I also take Vitamin B complex?

I have moderate acne and thinning hair on top of my head due to stress (school-related). And I heard that taking Vit B complex will help with the skin (make the pores smaller), increase energy, and also for hair growth. The thing is I don’t have hairy arms or legs so I’m worried if I take ‘em, I’ll be hairy on those areas as well lol

Lately I’ve been low in energy (i’m always tired), my diet isn’t the best since i don’t have time to cook (i eat tv-dinners, etc),I very rarely exercise and i am underweight. This is all temporary cuz I’m in school full time and i work part-time (hopefully after i graduate i can do everything to take care of my health properly–ex. go to the gym regularly, cook healthy food, see a doctor regularly, etc)

Anyway, should i take Vit B complex? Serious replies only!!!

Thanks!

Answer :

You could take them, it wouldn’t hurt, and they won’t cause excess hair to grow where it shouldn’t. BUT I think what you are lacking is some serious protein and complex carbs for energy and even some fats (the good kind). Your body needs those to properly function.

Maybe you should supplement with nutritional drinks instead. They contain vitamins and minerals in addition to a balance of protein, carbs, and fats.

Being malnourished in addition to vitamin deficient will make your immune system fragile and you could be susceptible to all types of illnesses. That is exactly what you don’t need with all that stuff you got going on. How do you expect to graduate and work if you’re not healthy?

Vitamin B Complex Injection!!!!?

I would like to take a vitamin b complex injection, i have the vial and the needles, but how do i know how much is enough so i don’t take too much?????

Answer :

First, the natural question is why you would be considering injections instead of daily oral supplementation in the form of tablets or tincture. If you have been diagnosed with a deficiency (ie B12) and told that you cannot produce the intrinsic factor necessary to absorb it, then that would be a reason to use injectables. Otherwise, use a high quality supplement daily and make sure you include quality whole grains, nuts, legumes and eggs or dairy (if you’re not vegan). Many people hop on the bandwagon without completely understanding the implications of over-supplementation. Do your research. Start with good nutrition, then consider supplements if you feel you just can’t manage to get what your body requires.

I just started taking Vitamin B complex, Dry Vitamin D,Multi V Just for Men, and Omega from vitamin shoppe.?

I’m also taking cymbalta for my depression. Is this good for me?

Answer

Too much fat soluble vitamins like Vit A, D, E and K are bad for humans. These vitamins tend to be stored in fat and then slowly released. That is OVERKILL because it causes more side effects especially when you’re taking prescription medication.

B complex vitamins

Monday, May 19th, 2008

There are many discussions on the vitamin B complex and how it is essential for the body to a variety of functions. However, the vitamin B complex is not only a very complex vitamin, as the name might suggest. There are eight B vitamins that are in the vitamin B complex and a few other related substances. The eight vitamins, which make up the vitamin B complex, vitamin B1, or thiamine, riboflavin or vitamin B2, niacin, or vitamin B3, pyridoxine or vitamin B6, cobalamine or vitamin B12, folic acid, biotin and pantothenic acid. The other related substances, even in the vitamin B complex include choline, inositol and para-Aminobenzoic acid.

Each part of the vitamin B complex performs its own function within the body, but it is when they work together as the vitamin B complex, which they maintain essential for the body to stay healthy. The vitamin B complex consists of B-vitamins, which are soluble in water and it is essential that there are enough of these vitamins are consumed on a daily basis. The body can not store water-soluble vitamins such as vitamin B complex and this leads to a regular intake is required.

The vitamin B complex are very beneficial for a number of conditions and may be needed for additional quantities at certain moments in the life of a person. Of course there is a recommended daily allowance for vitamin B complex, which varies depending on the sex and age of a person. However, doctors and other health workers have discovered the benefits of increasing the intake of the vitamin B complex to help overcome certain illnesses.

Many people suffer from anxiety and stress at one time or another and research has found that the vitamin B complex may be useful in helping to relieve the symptoms of anxiety and stress. If a person is unwell the vitamin B complex can be very valuable help in the rehabilitation process. Fatigue can be a symptom of a multitude of diseases and things just exaggerated, but the vitamin B complex could help alleviate fatigue and general lethargy.

Good for skin care - It is interesting that some skin diseases such as dermatitis, can also benefit from additional B-complex vitamin intake. In fact, a number of creams and other skin preparations added vitamin B complex, which can be absorbed through the skin to alleviate the condition. The condition of a person’s hair are also greatly improved with enough vitamin B-complex intake.

Vitamin deficiency?

How long does it take to recover from a vitamin deficiency? specifically, C, but anyone with experience in any vitamin deficiency, feel free to chime in. It’s been a couple months but my gums still pain on a daily basis, though much less than when I wasn’t taking vitamin C. My dentist and gum specialist says everything is fine as far as he can see and I do brush/floss regularly. Thank you

Does my baby goat have a vitamin deficiency?

We bought this really skinny and YOUNG boer goat from an auction this Saturday- no mother. She is very young (about 2 or 3 weeks) and very small, but on grain and hay already. I’m assuming that because she is already eating this and is not interested in milk that she may never have been started on it at all. I don’t think she could have been weaned this quickly. At this age they usually at least try to nurse off of your hand or chew on something else. This goat does not. Her leg twists out when she walks- it isn’t broken- and her hoof is tilted. We cut them, but at her age there isn’t much hoof growth yet. Could she have a vitamin deficiency from not getting enough calcium or something from the milk she is supposed to be on? Should I try to get her to nurse on a bottle again or just add vitamins to her grain? What vitamins would help? She is in otherwise healthy condition and despite being skinny, has a healthy appetite. Any suggestions would be help
ful. Thanks

Answer :

There was a study done about weaning goat kids early and they can be weaned as early as 4 weeks. I doubt your kid is as young as 2 or 3 weeks. How is the horn growth? That might be a better way to decide age rather than size.

She’s probably got coccidea. Consult with your vet about the best way to treat that. It often causes scours in other species but often doesn’t with goats. But it does really stunt their growth. She may do well with a vit A & D injection. That will help her with her calcium uptake. Alfalfa hay will have plenty of calcium for her.

The suggestion of some Bo-SE was also a good one.

There a few vets that really understand goats so you may have to look around for one. I would have one come out and check on your girl and give you some suggestions on treatment. She may very well need to be wormed as well.

What causes vitamin D deficiency? (besides lack of sunlight and vitamin D in the diet)?

I’m talking major lack of vitamin D. I just got a blood test result back, Normal range is 20-100, test results show mine being at least less than 4 (not sure of the units but the difference from normal range should give you an idea, it’s pretty damn low).

My doctor is sort of a putz and simply said “well I dunno some people just have low vitamin D” and he prescribed me prescription strength vitamin D (50,000 I.U.).

So, anyone have a clue of why my vitamin D would be so damn low?

By the way after taking the vitamin D I’ve had some odd side effects - neck and back pain, headache, going from feeling restless to having no energy at all. it’s weird.

Answer :

Oh my , same as me. Mine was from being lactose intolerant , smoking , and no sun light. My test was 0 , the fatigue was so bad for months , I couldn’t do anything without my heart pounding out of my chest. Foul smelling urine too. How often do you take the 50,000 ??? I take it once a week. I never had any bad side affects. After a few months on it , I felt so much better and have never felt that way again. Give it a chance to work maybe what your feeling isn’t from the vit D. Good Luck to you.

What vitamin deficiency causes sore tongue and gums?

Not ulcerated, just feeling very sore and burning.

Answer :

Vitamin B2 (riboflavin0 deficiency. Other symptoms you may be suffering from are cracked lips, grainy and sandy feeling eyes, splitting and cracking skin around your fingernails. Eat more foods rich in this vitamin ie: milk, liver, kidney, cheese, leafy green vegies, fish, eggs, yoghurt and beans.

Foods rich in vitamin B2 will promote healthy skin, nails and hair and benefit vision and alleviate eye fatigue.

Things that could be robbing you of your precious B complex of vitamins are :- eating too much protein, alcohol, eating too much tinned food, antiobiotics, antidepressants, penicillin, prednisone and aspirin…..also the oral contraceptive and eostroegen supplementation will rob you of your B complex of vitamins and vitamin C.

Also, try to cut back on drinks such as caffeine, tea, sodas and soft drinks as they are all B complex thieves…….. as well as being great at dehydrating you.

Take a multi B complex tablet including all the B’s ie: B1, B2 B3, B5, B6 and B12 as they work best synergistically (together).

The B complex of vitamins is essential for healthy neural, digestive and immune system functioning.

The B complex of vitamins is a water soluble complex and as such our bodies can neither store or produce them. Therefore we need to ingest them on a daily basis or suffer the consequences as you unfortunately are………

When you take your daily supplement ensure that you take it with some type of calcium rich food ie: low fat cheese or milk or a calcium supplement as B12 needs calcium to be properly assimilated by the body……….. ensure you also get enough sunshine (vitamin D) or eat cold water fishes such as tuna, salmon, sardines and whiting as calcium needs enough vitamin D to be effectively absorbed!! These cold water fishes are also a rich source of magnesium (known as the antistress mineral) which is probably another thing you need to focus on as well ~ your stress levels. Quite a handfull of information here …….. sorry it’s a bit long winded but you need to know all this.

When our bodies are placed under added stress such as sickness, relationship dramas, new job, school studies or just daily life really, the B complex of vitamins are usually the first group to get used up and we therefore need to adjust our intake accordingly.

When you are getting any stress related symptoms or any of the above mentioned symptoms simply take another B tablet. As they are water soluble our bodies will simply excrete any excess in our urine.

Drink loads of fresh filtered water too as the happiest and healthiest body will always be the most hydrated one.

I sincerely wish you the best of health & vitality buddy?

Does one get warts due to vitamin deficiency. If yes, what vitamin is it?

Answer :

Hi Fairy

Here are some answers and remedies for your issue. Need to really look at your diet and learn about detoxing the body by doing a colon and liver cleanse to rid of the toxins in the blood.

Causes

Warts are caused by any of 35 viruses and are often a consequence of poor diet and nutrition, poor hygiene, and, in the cases of genital warts, unprotected sex. Warts also become more common as a consequence of aging with corresponding diminished immune function.

Caution: Some warts can turn into cancerous tumors. If they do not seem benign, consult with a physician immediately.

——————————…

Natural Cures

Note: Natural healing of warts may require one to two months of care, with the wart disappearing suddenly in one to three days.

Aromatherapy: Lemon essential oil applied topically can speed healing. Thuja oil is also effective for dealing with warts.

Diet: Eat an organic, whole foods diet, emphasizing foods that are high in vitamin A, such as dark green and yellow vegetables, cold-water fish, eggs, and sulfur, such as onions, garlic, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, and broccoli. Avoid all refined and processed foods, sugar, unhealthy fats, and excess animal proteins, as well as milk and dairy products.

Herbs: a.Onions for Warts: Warts have been said to disappear when treated perseveringly with raw onion dipped in salt.

b.Wild Lettuce for Warts: The expressed juice is “much regarded as an application to boils, abscesses and carbuncles, and if put upon warts will cause them to drop off.

c.Garlic for Warts and Moles: Here is a very successful routine for removal of these unwanted growths called moles, or warts. Take a button of garlic, slice or cut in two, and placed the cup area over a wart of mole. Tape it on, and as it dries out put a fresh piece. Many users have reported good results.

d.Cashew Oil: The cashew oil, which must be used with great caution, is used as an application to warts, corns, ringworms, cancerous ulcers.

d.Potassium Deficiency for Warts and Moles: When cysts or tumors grow in places where they can be seen outside the body, often we react by having them cut out. This defeats healing by working on the effect instead of the cause. You can cut cysts out, tumors off, and burn warts off (which are also a potassium deficiency), or get rid of as many moles as you wish, but unless you go to the cause, they will grow back again, and you may end up with as many or more cysts, tumors, moles as before. Different signs of potassium deficiency will keep popping out on the body because the condition that needs correcting is on the inside. You have to go into the cause, Dr. Christopher always insisted, which is the way we have been eating.Potassium sources: There are several ways to receive your potassium. Dr. Bernard Jensen sells a potassium broth made from dehydrated vegetables. Dr. Bronner makes a similar, excellent product. You can also make your own potassium broth by simmering equal parts of red potatoes, celery, carro
ts, onions, and herbs to taste. Raw vegetable and fruit juices also flood the system with potassium.

Homeopathy: Useful homeopathic remedies include Thuja, Causticum, Calc carb., Ruta grav., and Graphites.

Nutritional Supplementation: Recommended nutrients include vitamin A, beta carotene, vitamin B complex, vitamin C, vitamin E, zinc, garlic capsules, and L-cysteine.

Topical Treatment: A solution of garlic oil, vitamin E, castor oil, and zinc oxide cream can be applied topically to warts.

Alternative Professional Care

If your symptoms persist despite the above measures, seek the help of a qualified health professional. The following professional care therapies have all been shown to be useful for treating warts: Naturopathic Medicine, Orthomolecular Medicine, and Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Best of health to you

Vitamin D deficiency????? cant cure it so far…. HELP?

so i have this problem with keeping my vitamin D levels up. i have been taking supplements for 8 and it was barely at a normal level when it dropped really low again. now i am taking 50,000 mg of vit. d a day and they have ran like every test possible. (parathyroid, thyroid, calcium…) they just tested me for seliac’s disease and that hasnt came back yet, but i am a healthy teen, like i’m never sick and i dont have any major health problems. so if any of you have any suggestions i would love to hear them!!!!!

Answer :

Vit. D, cholecalciferol, is not a true vitamin but a steroid hormone and its metabolism is controlled by thyroid hormones. Vit. D is produced in the skin so I have to agree with everyone who suggested exposure to sunlight. I don’t know where you live so I don’t know if this is possible for you at this time of year. I’m happy to hear you have no major health issues at this time but a severe deficiency can lead to a host of problems.

This deficiency is common among teens and during winter and can also be associated with obesity, decreased milk consumption and lack of physical activity. Not all of the factors may apply to you. The Celiac test results may be more revealing. I hope so.

Is slow hair growth a vitamin deficiency? (child)?

My daughter has the slowest growing hair!!

4yo, it was still above her shoulders (while her cousin’s was near her behind).

7yo, last year, cut an inch or two and it’s grown back but no extra.

Can anyone explain about B12 vitamin deficiency?

my doctor just called to tell me that i have the above problem. .My vitamin B12 is extremely low. they said i will have to take folic acid for 7 days & then get a shot once a week & then once every 2 weeks, Then it will be once month..does anyone know what causes it ? they told me it would make you feel very tired. i do feel that way, but i never contributed to a vitamin deficiency.does it cause any other type of symptoms? thank you doris p.

Answer :

I am 45 and was diagnosed with Pernicious Anemia about 13 years ago. It is a B12 deficiency that requires I take monthly shots of B12. If that is what you have, then it is actually a disorder of the stomach. Your stomach doesn’t have the enzyme that absorbs B12 from what you ingest. My understanding is that taking vitamins or anything oral will not work because your stomach won’t absorb the B12. That is why shots are required. I have always been told it is an older person’s disease, but I was only 32 when I was diagnosed. When I was diagnosed I was tired and also got very winded walking across the room. It felt like I had the just gotten over the flu or something. I have also noticed (not that this makes any sense at all) that when I wait too long to take my shot I tend to get a twitchy eye. I am almost positive that is not listed as a symptom, but it is a personal symptom and I pay attention to it. Hope this helps.

Otherwise, known as cobalamin, 12b vitamin is necessary for the processes to the carbohydrates, fats and proteins from food into energy. 12 b also, more importantly, helps the healthy red blood cells and thus prevent heart disease and keep the immune system functioning at its maximum level. In addition, 12 b will be used to the protective measures for all of nerve cells in the body.

The most important function of the 12 b is healthy red blood cells. However, all 12 b cells need to keep them healthy. It is the white blood cells, among other things, that the need for 12 b to ensure that the immune system works. All of the nerve cells in the body need 12 b to form their protective fatty layer. This is of vital importance for all the nerves, but especially for those in the brain. If it is not enough, 12 b to this protective layer then the brain will not function properly.

Interestingly, the amount of 12 b, which the body needs, is relatively small, but is necessary at regular intervals. However, 12 b on its own is not enough, because the body can not absorb them. To the body absorbs 12 b of the stomach produces intrinsic factor, which allows more of the 12 b to be absorbed. 12 b is only in animal foods such as liver, eggs, fish and meat, but most people consume far more than the recommended daily amount of 12 b. This is not a problem, because the body can only absorb about half of the 12 b, which are eaten. It is also noteworthy that the body can recycling 12 b, the cuts on the effects of a B-12 deficiency. But strict vegetarians or vegans are likely to need 12 b supplements if they do not eat any animal products, the 12 b.

If the body does not produce enough 12 b then anaemia is the most obvious symptoms. Of course, this is due to the fact that there are not enough 12 b to make healthy red blood cells. Anemia can also be caused by the body not creating enough intrinsic factor to help absorb the 12 b that is available in the food consumed. The body is usually less intrinsic factor once a person to 50, and this will lead to less 12 to be absorbed and is a complement of B 12 may be required. Kids are also at risk from anaemia, because they could not eat the food that contain 12 b. Pregnant women need more 12 b because the baby is absorbing 12 b during pregnancy grow.
