the doctor advice me for operation to remove the kidney stone. its a big problem for me. any idea please. thank you

Answer

would you rather remove the stone or lose the kidney altogether and be in more problems or you can live with the excruciating pain. if the stone is small enough then it may be able to be pulsed out with high frequency ultrasound blasts. whats the stone size?

What i hv to eat in kidney stone?Answer

I think your question should be “what should i eat to avoid kidney stones?” You should drink lot of water. Tender coconut water is the best bet. They say you should not eat tomatoes, if you have kidney stones. Drinking plantain pith soup is also one good way. Eat juicy salads.

None.

Can drinking to much water cause kidney stones?

I don’t drink much water and have been worrying about kidney stones. Im wanting to start drinking lots more water a day but can the sudden increase in so much water cause stones to develope?

Answer

Drink 10-12 glasses of water a day (or 5-6 20oz bottles of water), take calcium citrate, potassium and B-Complex vitamins every day. These minerals have been proven to prevent stones from forming. Try to stay away from tea and lots of chocolate. Trust me, having a kidney stone is the worst pain you can imagine, worse than childbirth. Take preventative measures now! Always keep a bottle of water with you so you can sip from it throughout the day instead of chugging down a lot of water at once (which will upset your stomach).

What is the best for treating kidney stones?Answer

Find a way to supplement your diet with magnesium. Try to add 350mg of magnesium to your diet daily. This treatment has been found to eliminate kidney stones in some patients. Magnesium has been studied for the last 40 years and results have always been the same. Magnesium helps the body naturally rid itself of kidney stones.

Avoid snacks and foods that are high in sugar. This includes soft drinks and juices. Sugar has been associated with the formation of kidney stones. Avoid sugars until your kidney stones pass. When you consume something sweet let it be something with natural sugar, like fruit.

Drink plenty of water, but also add fruit and vegetable juices including carrot, grape and orange juices. Such juices contain high levels of citrates. Citrates help reduce the buildup of uric acid and eliminate the formation of calcium salts, both contributors to the formation of kidney stones.

Lastly, eat foods high in chlorophyll. Vegetables high in chlorophyll have been shown to help cleanse kidneys, helping to eliminate kidney stones. Include foods like asparagus, wheat grass, and fresh parsley in your diet.

I have had 4 kidney stones in the last 5 years . I have always managed to pass them myself but the pain is something i would`nt wish on my worsed enemy. How can I prevent these stones reforming.

Answer

The most common of kidney stones are calcium oxalate crystals. Drink more water (15 glasses of water daily). You have to take medications to dissolve kidney stones. You have to avoid certain foods which may cause kidney stones.

What is the best home remedy to deal with Kidney stone pain?

live remote.. dr is not a option.. any suggestions?

Answer

Not sure how to deal with the present pain, but to prevent future pain, remember to keep hydrated, drink lots of fluids, especially water. I donated a kidney a few years ago, and have had one stone. Painful passing it.

I thought I had a kidney stone but ended up peeing out like a bloody chunk of skin. Is that normal?

Mind you, this was after an entire day of cramping and burning urine and peeing blood clots and so on, so it might be…but I looked up kidney stones and they look nothing like this. what’s going on?

Answer

Keep your pH levels high by eating and drinking alkaline foods. You got kidney stones cus your body is too acidic. It can cause other health problems too. Good luck.

How can u make a kidney stone come out faster without hurting so much? jw?

some one told me iam at the age to start getting kidney stones and i was wondering what do they feal like when they start and how do u get them to come out faster?

Answer

It is no surprise that there is a kidney stones home treatment. After all, most doctors agree that kidney stones are one of the simplest ailments to cure naturally. Although they are extremely painful, rest assured that you can pass them in less than a day if you are proactive about flushing your kidneys.

Typically, a doctor will recommend drinking plenty of water to flush the kidney stones. This works because kidney stones are usually caused by dehydration (not enough water) and therefore flushing the kidneys will naturally pass the stone. In fact, you have probably passed numerous stones already and didn’t even know it.

Unfortunately, when a kidney stone grows in size (larger than 5 mm), it becomes more and more difficult to pass naturally (with only water). And more unfortunately, most doctors do not recommend anything more than plenty of water. They may recommend an expensive medication or an even more expensive treatment.

But before you go back for that next $150 doctor visit, you may wish to try some natural health secrets that work by dissolving the kidney stone(s) and allowing your body to pass them naturally.

Treat Kidney Stones with Natural Health Secrets

1. Your doctor has probably mentioned to drink water. But you should be drinking distilled water which is mineral-free. By drinking distilled water, you can be sure you are not adding to the mineral composition of your kidney stones. You should also be drinking at least 16 ounces (2 cups) of water for every 2 hours you are awake.

2. You may also wish to use your diet to your advantage. One way to flush the kidneys with your diet is to eat plenty of water soluble dietary fiber which can be found in all fruits and vegetables. Eating at least 5-7 servings of fruits and veggies today will naturally flush your kidneys and could help pass your stone(s).

3. Did you know eating foods that contain chlorophyll will naturally cleanse the kidneys? Three plants very rich in chlorophyll are wheatgrass, parsley, and asparagus. You should try to supplement one of these foods daily. You can find these at most grocery stores or health stores.

4. In a recent research study, it was found that kidney stone sufferers are typically deficient in vitamin B-6. Research shows that you should begin to supplement a complex B vitamin daily if you are at risk or have suffered from kidney stones in your past.

5. Finally, phosphoric acid has also been one of the latest headlines when it comes to kidney stone natural health. Phosphoric acid is an acid that is found in everything from cleaning supplies and also beverages. However, phosphoric acid has also been shown to dissolve kidney stones naturally. And because the body’s liver does not play any role in acid base regulation, a phosphoric acid may be the trick to curing kidney stones by tomorrow. Hope this helps

Can it be kidney stones?

I am a 14 year old boy. I feel pain in my lower right back region. The pain isn’t always coming. Nor does it come at any specific time or situation When i press the region I feel the pain and also when I deliberately put some stress on it.I don’t see any blood in my urine I just want to know if it can be kidney stones.

Thanks

Answer

Just because you have a kidney stone doesn’t mean you will be in pain constantly or see blood in your urine. Sometimes you do have blood in your urine but you can’t see it. It all depends on the size of the stone, how fast it’s moving, and if it gets stuck.

I would make an appointment with a urologist so they can do an Xray to see if it’s there. Usually stones are small enough to where they will pass on their own, but sometimes the pain gets so bad that you have to take pain medication while it’s passing.

Make sure to drink lots of water to flush that stone out if you do have one.

There is no such thing as a kidney stone being in early stages when it starts to pass. It takes years for them to build up in your kidneys, and then one they drop out of your kidneys and enter the ureter, that is when you start to feel that pain. Once the stone moves further down towards the bladder, you will start to hurt moreso in the lower abdomen towards your groin.

I’ve passed two kidney stones and have several more to go.

What is the best thing to do to remove kidney stones?Answer

Depends on how big the stone is. Upto 6 mm stones can be removed within a week’s time by using the following homeo medicines :

1. Drink plenty of water.

2. Use Beriberis Vulgaris Q 5 to 10 drops three times a day until the stones are expelled.

3. Use Hydrangea Q 5 to 10 drops in one ounce water along with Pareira Brava Q 5 to 10 drops three times a day to crush and expel the stones.

4. Use Belladonna 200 as frequently as required in case of pain while dislodging the stones.

5. Use Cantharis 30 in case of infections and Urtica Urens if there is skin irritations.

Use medicines in consultation with Home doctor.

I am trying to conceive - unsuccessfully, and any advice or tips would help. I am 35 years old and quite healthy. I have one seventeen year old child so i know i am can fall pregnant. Please help, we are desperate to have a baby!

Solution

Stress can definitely inhibit pregnancy, as can alcohol, sleep deprivation, and caffein.

Best way to get prego is to trak your cycle and know your body. You want to try to have sex at least 4 or so days prior to ovulation, the day of ovulation, and a day or two after ovulation to increase sperm availability when the egg is dropped. Track your Basal Body Temp (BBT) on a chart. A basal thermometer is more detailed than a regular thermometer. For instance, a normal thermometer will track your temp at 98.6 while a BBT will track it at 98.64. What you’re looking for is a shift in temp by at least .40 degrees. When you see that shift, you’ve already ovulated.

You also want to track your cervical mucus (CM). You are usually dry right after your period with no CM. It starts to become creamy and thicker a few days prior to ovulation, and during ovulation, it increases in volume and becomes clear and sticky, much like egg whites. That’s your optimal time to have sex. have sex around ovulation (usually around 10 to 14 days after your period, not always though…for example I usually ovulate on DAY 17 that meant that it was better for me to have sex 14-17 days after my period) Find out when you ovulate. Find more infor on this at fertilityfriend.com

Lift your hips under pillow after intercourse to allow sperm to let gravity help the little swimmers!

Position is missionary. Woman on top lets sperm leak out easier, and is not the most productive way. Also, lay there for at least 15-20 min after intercourse to allow sperm to move up to the egg.

YOu may also want to use an ovulation predictor kit (OPK). It tells you that you are about to ovulate with in 12-36 hours.

Ask your hubby to wear boxers instead of briefs if he’s not already wearing them. (not confirmed, but i’ve heard this can help sperm)

Also, start taking prenatal vitamins and folic acid supplements now. In case you do get pregnant, you won’t know it for about 2-3 weeks, and the folic acid and vitamins are essential to development this early on.

**It takes the average woman anywhere from 6-9 months to conceive once they start trying for a baby. Don’t get frustrated. It takes time!

HOpe this helps! Baby blessings to you!

Pregnancy tips please?

I know it’s a very general question, but, does anyone have any tips for me? almost 2 months gone now, I’ve got alot of information but I’d love to hear what everyone has to say

Really, anything; about what to do, expect or anything during my pregnancy or after the pregnancy.

I’m having a beautiful half Japanese half British Caucasian baby! Very excited.

Solution

First of all, Congrats!

The only tip I guess i have is- enjoy every second of being pregnant…it gets hard towards the end..but you can look forward to the first time you feel your baby move, and the first time you get to see your partners face when he feels the baby move- it’s magical! Also, being able to see your little one on the scan- it all starts to become real then.

Don’t listen to any of the horror birth stories you hear, take everyone’s advice into consideration, but when it comes down to it- you know your body, you know your baby and everyone’s experiences are different- make your own experiences!

take photos of your growing belly- you’ll be amazed at the changes! and if your into it, keep a journal of different feelings or changes that are happening to your body- fascinating to read back over later on..

Congrats again!

Pregnancy Tips Please?

Me and My Girlfriend are trying for a baby, we thought she was as she has had a coupl of weeks of morning sickness and sickness during the day but we did the test and it sed no… any tips on how to get pregnant… ive searched all the internet sites and that but if she is due on her period say the 14-19th of april whens the best time she could fall pregnant?

Solution

It’s still very likely she is pregnant.

If she is due on the 14-19th, you probably conceived only 2 weeks ago which means it’s probably too early to tell.

Just wait until she’s due for her period and if it doesn’t come do a test.

And in regards to your ques, get a product called maybe baby - its chemists and it tests whether you are ovulating by a saliva test. easy.

they say it’s about 2 weeks before you get your period.

What are some tips to have a healthy pregnancy?

Solution

No drinking, no smoking, no drugs.

Don’t strain yourself but it’s fine to excercise.

Follow the do’s and dont’s of what you can or cannot eat.

Stay away from too much caffiene.

Get enough sleep.

If you are doing something and get too stressed or physically overwhelmed - take a break.

I would read around articles on www.babycenter.com it’s helped me a lot with both my pregnancies and raising my first child.

Tips for Rat Pregnancy?

Okay, my little girl is definately expecting some ratlets. The thing is that it has probably been about four years since I last bred any of my rats. Mommy and Daddy are both sweethearts-also have never shown any sign of illness. She is probably just under a year old. She has had some extremely minimal spotting for about a day and a half, and her little **** are becoming more noticeable. Obviously, she has a huge nest built up. She has been separated from her cagemates. Anyway, I’m a little rusty, so if anyone can offer me any tips or websites they found helpful during their ratty pregnancy, please send them in! If there are any questions I can answer to help you give more precise tips, ask and I’ll answer. Thanks!

Solution

ok… when she is giving birth, leave the room. i think they usually give birth at night.

Which pregnancy test is the best? How much do they usually run for?

Solution

anyone is fine. I like to get the ones that have 2test in them.. that way if it said negitive i could take another one the next week (if i still didnt get my period) or if it said positive take it the next day just to make sure.

I got mine for $12 for 2 of them and i found out 2x that i was pregos’!

it was called first answer or something like that. You dont need a really expensive one, unless you JUST missed your period by a day than the EPT test will detect the HCG level better. But thouse test go for like $25 rip of it you ask me!

i just found out and i’m 3-4weeks along!

good luck!

I need tips for acne in pregnancy?

I’m 8 weeks pregnant to my second child and im starting to get really sore, red acne all over my face. My skin was always so nice and nothing seems to be helping get rid of them? Is there anything I can use to help not get any more pimples? I’m also having trouble finding any energy to do ANYTHING. I’m so tired all the time and now I have headaches from sleeping too much. I never had with my first son and I feel so sick all the time? Is this normal?

Solution

Yup. My acne ALWAYS gets worse with pregnancy. It sucks. As if I don’t feel like a fat cow already, I have to have huge sore red acne all over my face. Lovely.

Ah well. Nothing really helped. Sometimes it gets better later during pregnancy. Just use antibacterial soap and wash gently twice a day. IT is safe and as effective as most acne washes. An it is guaranteed not to hurt the baby.

Best maternity insurance?

I was wondering what the best health insurance out there for maternity and child birth is? Right now I have pretty basic health insurance, as I am very healthy and don’t need to go to the doctor often, but once I get pregnant (we’re going to try in the next year or so) I plan on switching my insurance so that I’m paying the minimum out of pocket for all (or most of) those doctor’s visits and labs, etc. What is the best provider/what type of coverage should I be looking for? How much did it cost YOU to have a baby (the actual medical bills) and how much should I expect to pay each month for my premium?

Answer

We have Blue Cross Blue Sheild. My first pregnancy cost $387,000.00 because I was in the hospital for 99 days due to complicattons. It only cost us a $50.00 copay, out of pocket, and that’s only because I requested a private room.

Copays for sonograms and OB visits were $15.00. Scripts if needed are $7.00, $15.00, and $30.00 for medicine that is not generic, which is very rare.

Also, both of my girls are covered until age 18 will all doctor visits, no copays.

We pay $240 a month, but my husband gets it through his employer. I’m sure its more if you sign up for a plan individually.

They are the most wonderful plan when it comes to pregnancy. I am extremely high risk and have had 2 pregnancies under this plan, and 2 under another, and this one is in a class of its own.

Good luck!

What is the best maternity health insurance company to go to in Tennessee. Me and my hubby want to start having a family and need to get some insurance.

Maternity Health Insurance?

This is probably a weird place to ask this, but having trouble finding an answer online. I have individual health insurance, and my plan will not cover a pregnancy if conception occurs before 6 months after I add the maternity coverage. I am not currently pregnant, however I would like to begin trying before 6 months from now. Does anyone know of a health care plan that you can add maternity coverage to, and not have a waiting period for conception? For instance, if I opted for extra coverage in October and became pregnant in Dec., could I be covered?

Answer

A lot of Insurances consider a pregnancy a ‘pre existing condition’ and will not cover you if you get pregnant within the first year of getting the Insurance Policy.

I suggest you look into several different policies.

We have Blue Cross PPO and I changed my plan in July and got pregnant in October, it was covered. Pregnancy is automatically covered in my plan, I didn’t have to ‘add’ Pregnancy; it’s part of Blue Cross coverage. Just make sure you have the Insurance for a full 30 days before you become pregnant.

Maybe you should switch to Blue Cross PPO or HMO.

What is the best company for Maternity Health insurance?

I’m not looking to go on medicaid, I don’t want to use taxpayers money if I can afford a reasonable individual health insurance plan. I am very early on in pregnancy and would like to know if anyone knows of a good plan with reasonable rates. I would appreciate it if you had details (plan names). We can afford a deductible of around $4000 or less.

Answer

You may want to try a website that compares multiple companies at once to get you the best price & maternity coverage. I am paying less than ½ after I did.

Go to: http://www.insureme.com/landing.aspx?Ref…

What are my best options for self-employed health insurance with maternity in Illinois?

I am leaving a well paid corporate job with great benefits to work for myself. I was recently married and my wife wants to have children soon. She does not have benefits through her job so I need to ensure we are covered well. What are some great options for affordable health coverage in Illinois that includes maternity and what’s the time frame before maternity coverage kicks in?

Answer

Maternity is very expensive on an individual policy. The wait is usually 1 year, meaning the pregnancy can’t begin until after a year has elapsed. Maternity is about $350 to $450 extra a month. But it is very worth it if there are any complications.

Probably BCBS is your best bet.

You can get a quote by going to www.bcbsil.com, just enter your zip and go from there.

You might consider a high deductible HSA plan too, but you would still need to add maternity to that plan.

”
PLEASE GO THROUGH THIS
My dear Presidents,I agree with you that swine flu awareness is needed, but there is no need to be panicky and join the publicity propaganda carried out by media and others which acts as a vehicle to spread misconception than to spread scientific information. These are few facts about swine flu when discussed with the leading epidemiologists.

1) Swine flu, that is H1N1 flu is not new, first detected in 1987
2) Infective stage of flue is 5 days, 1 day before and 4 days after onset of symptoms. The best way to prevent it spreading is asking patient having symptoms of flu like fever cough and running nose to take rest at home for 4 days so he does not transmit it
3) Masks are of limited value if any, in this disease, it can spread through droplets on your skin, through contact etc, and I have seen that the masks in Pune are worn as fashion statement, while walking on road today morning I saw people wearing masks coming out for a morning walk with their dogs!, many wearing masks around their necks, and so on, infact these masks shall act as the vehicles to carry the virus, instead, avoiding crowded places or cinema halls or malls where airconditioners are on, is advisable, because you get recirculated air, where the virus density multiplies
4)Death after H1N1 flu is not common, infact infections like measles is taking toll of thousands more every year, and we are oblivious of the facts. Swine flu is being blown out of proportion by media trying to create hysteria among lay people.
5) Fever accompanied by respiratory distress, should be immediately notified which is likely to be a complication of H1N1 flu
6)The mortality is less than .01 percent of those affected, that means may be one in 10,000 affected is likely to suffer the life loss.
7) If you remember, 2 years ago SARS was blown out of proportion, what happened? Humans develop immunity to the virus, the same is going to happen, we develop immunity in due course of time, the virus is in the air, you can not stop it, our body is already developing the immunity so nothing to panic.

We need to take care of children and elderly who have less immunity and do not let them go to crowded places that is all . WE MUST START THIS CAMPAIGN OF NOT TO BE AFRAID OF THIS FLU AND LET YOUR DAILY WORK CONTINUE AS NORMAL, NO MASKS FOR ORDINARY CITIZENS, HEALTH CARE WORKERS OR SPECIFIC EXPOSED TO LOT OF CROWDED ENVIRONMENTS MAY BE BENEFITTED, NOT PROVEN.

I am amazed to hear that people are selling masks of RS 20 each which are available to less than Rupee 1 in the market.
See who is getting benefitted?

Please spread the scientific info, do not join the band wagon and stick to science, that should be the order of the day.

we have sex once a week and do not like to use condoms. i want to know the contraceptive pill in India which has no or very less side affects.

Answer

I’ve heard a lot about I-pill, however, it is an EMERGENCY contraceptive as you say and not to be used weekly. If you use it weekly it could cause hormonal complications in the female. It’s also far more expensive and far less effective than other forms of birth control.

See a doctor and ask about the normal, one-a-day birth control pill, not emergency contraceptive. If the girl takes one pill a day then you can have sex without condoms and not get pregnant.

Harriet

Which is the best birth control pill for breast enlargement?

I’m on Microgynon at the moment and have only been on it a month but have noticed some side effects. I was thinking of changing but am interested in the best one for breast enlargement?

Answer

I’ve heard that Yasmin is good for breast growth.

I’m on Yasmin, and so are some of my friends who say they’ve noticed a massive difference

What is the best birth control pill-least estro and least side effects?

Answer

There isn’t any. You must weigh these cons:

The disadvantages include the following:

 * There are long term health effects

 * You must remember to take them daily.

 * You may have nausea or spotting (or both) during the first month.

 * Side effects can include headaches, depression or decreased libido.

 * They provide no protection against sexually transmitted infections.

Whats the best birth control pill and can u get preg on the birth control pill?

Answer

i got pregnant on the pill and used a condom neither one of them is 100% even if you are careful with them,i took my pills everyday and used a condom just in case but still got pregnant some how so yes there is still a chance but this is only if you are very fertile if your not you won’t get pregnant so easily and your chances of getting pregnant on the pill are low if you are fertile like i was your chances would be higher and the gyno would tell you that. If you miss the pill for one day the next day you should take 2 if you missed 3 days you need to take 3 pills doing after the 3rd day this will increase the power and you can be protected more so this way but only if you missed a day or more this is not to be done just for fun i wouldn’t recommend you take any form of birth control until you find out that you can have kids in the future cause birth control can mess up your body with their side effects it did to me and now my gyno doctor said she don’t know if i can have
kids so think about it before you take them or if you already are start thinking about your future and ask your doctor lot of questions ask her to give you test to

Which emergency contraceptive pill is best Ipill (Cipla) or Unwanted 72 (Mankind Pharma’s)? and Why?

Answer

How about none of them, how about live up to the responsibility of what your doing. If you don’t want kids, don’t have sex. You know sex is the only thing that makes kids, stop thinking of your own pleasure and think of the consequences

About My Birth Control Pill?

hey

so i’m going on the new birth control pill Yaz!

does anyone know if it causes acne and things like that cause i’ve watched some video’s on youtube and ppl talking about it but they’re aren’t actually on it

so if any of u guys are on it and know anything about it at all let me know!

does it help with bloating, pms, headaches, acne, shorter periods etc!

help!

Answer

the contraceptive pill actualy STOPS acne

i started taking it to clear up my back spots, it worked

yes it helps with periods, making them shorter alot of the time

but no, not with headaches ive found mine add to this

however you can try different pills until youve found the right ones for you

It doesnt help with pms, as you are taking a hormone and ive found when ive skipped periods (not taking a break) i get pms worse

Condom + Birth Control Pills = No Pregnancy?

If I am on birth control pills, and my bf uses condoms, and I do my part and take my pill at exactly the same time everyday, without missing one, what are the possibilities of pregnancy? I was reading online and I found that condoms & bc pills together are only 90 - 95% accurate, which is pretty good if you’re looking at the numbers, but when you say “you have a 5 - 10% chance of getting pregnant” its a little scarier…

I’m trusting that my boyfriend knows how to put a condom on right, but I’m doing everything in my part to take my pill at the same time.

Please don’t say “NONE” or “THERE IS ALWAYS A CHANCE”. I want numbers lol

Answer

The Combined Oral Contraceptive Pill (COCP), often referred to as the birth-control pill, or simply “the Pill”, is a combination of an estrogen (oestrogen) and a progestin (progestogen), taken by mouth to inhibit normal female fertility. The estrogens and progesterones present in the pill completely inhibit the chance of your ovaries to produce eggs for the sperms. Further you said your partner is using the barrier-precaution too so preventing sperms to enter either. Although 1 sperm can make a woman pregnant but this is not at all the case. Thing is that 1 sperm needs a reinforcement of atleast 2 lacs sperms to do its job according to the book Langman Embroyology of Medical Sciences. So you are 99% on the safe side. Infact you are 100% but i leave 1% for the fact someday you forget to take the precautions, otherwise you are completely safe.

Answer

The reduced availability of the contraceptive pill is the reason that Japan has a rather high level of abortions.

Unfortunately it is difficult for Japanese women to obtain the contraceptive pill.

Sad, so sad.

Edit: What’s with the thumbs down? Everything I have said is true. Perhaps you would like to read this article for more information. http://www.prochoiceforum.org.uk/comm13.…

To quote: ” The prevalence of abortion among Japanese women combined with their lack of support for the legalisation of oral contraceptives has perplexed many observers. Do Japanese women believe abortion is safer than oral contraceptives? A survey showed that about 60% of women who were about to have abortions rejected the idea of taking the Pill for fear of ‘negative side-effects’.”

Yaz birth control pills?

I have been on Yasmin birth control pills for a long time now, and before that, was on other birth control pills. I always took pills for 3 weeks, and then in the fourth week (my period week) didn’t take them of course, or just took the non hormone pills. Well, I started Yaz because they have lower estrogen levels and are better for you in general, and I just noticed tonight that you take 3 extra hormone pills? There are 24 hormone pills, and only 4 “sugar” pills. I don’t get this. Should I just take 3 weeks worth like I have pretty much all my life? Or should I take the 24? I am not sure what to do or what to expect. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks! :o)

Answer

Take the pills exactly as they are prescribed, take 24 active pills and then take the 4 sugar pills. Your period will probably start on the 3-4th sugar pill and you will still be having your period when you start he active pills again. Yaz just is set up different from what you are used to but you should take all of the pills every month.

best wishes..

For got to take birth control pill at time i was suppose to. What do i do?

I usually take the pill between 915-930 today i for got took it at almost 11. Do i or am i suppose to do something?

Answer

If you forget to take a birth control pill, take it as soon as you remember. If you don’t remember until the next day, go ahead and take 2 pills that day. If you forget to take your pills for 2 days, take 2 pills the day you remember and 2 pills the next day. You will then be back on schedule. If you miss more than 2 birth control pills, call your health care provider for instructions. Those instructions may be to take one pill daily until Sunday and then start a new pack or to discard the rest of the pill pack and start over with a new pack that same day.

Any time you forget to take a pill, you must use another form of birth control until you finish the pill pack. When you forget to take a birth control pill, you increase the chance of releasing an egg from your ovary. However, if you forget to take any of the last 7 out of the 28 day pills you will not raise your chance of pregnancy since these pills contain only inactive ingredients. If you miss your period and have forgotten to take one or more pills, get a pregnancy test. If you miss two periods while taking the cyclic birth control pills (those that have the “inactive” pills at the end of the pill pack) even though you have taken all your pills on schedule, you should get a pregnancy test.

Answer

Chances of pregnancy is none if you are practising the three steps above together, no further enhacement is required; these three steps together is too much (as you said). If not broken during action condom is the best, with it pull out is not required, tabs creates hormone troubles to many, hence stick to the first option

1.cleaning penis before wearing condom and wait for it to dry before putting condom on

2.using condom with spermicide(read something about this and it said spermicide irritates vagina and increases chances of breakage, so i shouldnt use condom with spermicide)

3. using lube to decrease chances of breakage

4. pulling out before ejaculation

what if i use all these steps. what are the chances?

Answer

1) Use a condom. Every time.

2) She should be on the pill.

Answer

It’s pretty much too late to do the morning after pill. All you can really do now is hope that you aren’t pregnant. In a few more days, go get a pregnancy test. If you’re pregnant, go see your doctor to discuss your options. If you’re not, thank whatever you believe in and promise yourself to be more careful in future. At least use a barrier method like condoms. What I do to be extra safe is I’m on the pill AND I use condoms. Your future is at risk here. You have to stay smart. Good luck, and I’ll be sending good thoughts your way!

Blessed be.

I been doing a lot of cardio to burn my beer belly and love handles… for 5 weeks now, and its almost all gone ive had some insane results..

What im asking is.. i want to be toned and just have a nice body i want more muscles to show not BIG but just look good,

Ill still be doing cardio everyday, its become an addiction and its actually fun to me..

But to build this muscler toned body im looking for what should i do for weights?

High reps low weight? or High weight low reps? Advice please..

Heres what im working with.

http://i112.photobucket.com/albums/n183/…

Answer

I think the best thing would be a transition from heavy weights with low reps to lower weight with a more reps.Begin with a moderately heavy weight and do reps that are a little bit uncomfortable to you. After that, begin with a lower weight again with more reps, again that becomes a strain. Then a lower weight again with a few more reps. Keep going down in weight and more in reps. Finally you do light weight and a lot of reps but it will seem really hard. After you get to a low weight and do a good amount of reps, go work on something else like your abs then come back to try the same thing as much as you can handle. This will help you get the tone you want.

I workout and i do more reps and less weight. will that build muscle plus burn fat at the same time.?

i want to get bigger and leaner

Answer

Get bigger with more weight and less reps and do cardio to lose the weight.

When toning abs on a strength machine more reps or more weight?

I have a belly that I am working on getting rid of. At my gym there is an abdominal machine and I do 100 crunches at a 65 weight resistance. I feel like I need to increase something but I don’t know if I should increase the weight or the reps. I just want to get my stomach as flat as I can not really all muslcely ripped. What should I increase? Please help me and my fat belly.

Answer

I’d increase the reps. You increase weight to build muscle, reps to increase endurance. But you’re trying to burn fat too it sounds like so more reps will tone and cardio will burn. Hope that helps.

By the way, I got a flat tummy with defined lines just by doing crunches every night with increased reps.

Building bigger muscles is it better to do more weight less reps or more reps less weight?

Answer

Generally the accepted protocol for bodybuilding is 6-10 reps for gaining size. However, 5×5 has become extremely popular due to the successful programs published by Mark Rippetoe and the guys from Westside Barbell. I have used the following schemes in my compound movements (Squats, deadlifts, bench press, and C & J) :

3×3 Produced a lot of strength, but only average muscle gain. This is more than likely due to the fact that three repetitions is non enough time under tension (TUT) to produce ample musclular breakdown. However, it does put an extreme amount of stress on the central nervous system (CNS), therefore making it more efficeient at firing motor neurons. This will make you stronger and more efficient at the exercise, but won’t put on as much size.

5×5 This gave me the best size gains that I’ve seen. The increased TUT induced plenty of musclular breakdown while still providing significant increases in strength. I guess this is why it’s become so popular with today’s strength coaches.

4×6 Similar gains to 5×5, but burned me out after about two months. The one extra set for one less rep made a difference!

3×8-10 While eight reps would seem to be perfect for bodybuilding, I never saw significant gains with it after progressing out of the beginner stage. Both size and strength stalled after the beginner gains faded away. So while it’s a great way to get into lifting, I don’t think it’s the proper protocol for intermediate or advanced lifters.

Note that these schemes are only for my compound movements, usually supplemented by another medley of exercises at various rep ranges. For these supplemental lifts I stay with six to twelve reps. The bigger the muscle, the more weight I use for less reps. An example would be that I might supplement my legs with split-squats for 3×6 due to the massive amount of muscle being worked, but might do calf raises for 4×10 because of their natural endurance and size. Also, try to use enough weight for you to fail on the prescribed rep. If it’s 5×5, you might be able to get 2×5, 2×4, and 1×3. Keep working with that weight until you can complete five reps on all five sets. Then add weight. Best of luck!

Less weight and more reps orr higher weight and more reps?

Ok, soo I’ve heard that if you want to get toned you should do a lower weight with more reps, but if you want to “bulk up” you use more weight and less reps.

Personally, I just want to increase my strength and get toned, and I’ve been doing more of the higher weight less rep deal, basically using whatever weight I can do for 3 sets of 12…but yeah, I’ve heard the light weight thing is a myth, yeah or no?

Answer

You actually are referring to 3 competing goals: 1. building strength, 2. building size/mass, and 3. toning.

To build strength you would use lower weights, 4-6 is a good strength building range.

To build mass, you would use a higher rep range to induce hypertrophy. A typical mass building routine would be in the 8-12 rep range.

If you are trying to reduce body fat (ie tone), you really could use either rep ranges, but reduce your caloric intake.

Note that an obvious side effect of lifting heavier weight and getting stronger will be to put on muscle mass.

What workouts are best for getting stronger, looking bigger, and getting cut?

My roommate and I were having a discussion while lifting the other day about what workouts are best for different purposes. My friend is trying to get bigger while I am trying to get more cut. We discussed the following workouts: High reps/lower weights, Low reps/high weights.

We also debated whether compound workouts or isolated workouts were better. From your own experience, what workouts are best at doing what, not limited to the ones we talked about. But if you do list a different one, please explain it. Thanks.

Answer

Yes lower reps high weight gains more strength, and high reps low weight increases endurance. But if your looking to get big or if your looking to get cut up….look no further than what your eating. Too much emphasis gets put on your workout…..regardless of your workout, its what your feeding you body that’s going to determine what size you get. If he does 4-5 reps and double the weight and goes home and eats 1500 calories a day and you do more reps and less weight and get 3000 good calories, your gonna get bigger and hes gonna get more cut up!!…Sorry, but it really is that simple.

Which is better for strength training: higher reps with less weight or less reps with more weight?

I want to build my strength up, be able to lift more when I work out, but which is it, less weight with more repetitions or more weight with less repetitions? I’ve heard it both ways.

Answer

Low weight high reps for toning and strength

High weight low reps to build mass

Best way to build muscle. reps and sets?

i heard starting off with low weight high reps working your way up in weights and down in reps is better than starting off with high weight low reps.

example:

20lbs 12-15 reps failure x1 set

25lbs 8-12 reps failure x1 set

30lbs 4-8 reps failure x2

i heard this is better than just doing 3 sets of 4-8 reps with 30lbs,

i pretty confused. help would be most apreciated

Answer

If you want to build muscle, its about heavier weights, lower reps and protein shakes. Once muscle has been built then you move on to lower weights more reps, that tones the muscle and defines it. Also try resistance training instead of lower-weights, more reps for toning.

One thing to note is not to work out everyday, muscle is built while your resting, so work out 3 times a week max. Some people work out upper body one day, then cardio, then lower, then upper and so on. But thats pretty intense. Id highly advise you to take a day off between exercising.

Good luck, building muscle up takes time so dont rush or get impatient.

What works better? less weight more reps? more weight less reps?

I want to build muscle for strength and burn fat. Especially in my stomach area. I can do 30 reps at a weight that doesn’t fatigue my muscles. If more weight less reps will achieve bette results. I’m all for that.

Answer

More weight - Less reps will build bulk

Less weigh - More Reps will tone and define muscle

If you can do 30 reps of a weight with no fatigue then you need to up your weight. But only by a small amount.

But if you want to get larger you need to up your weight a lot and drop the reps down dramatically!

To gain muscle Do you do more reps less weight or more weight less reps?

Trying to tone up and gain some muscle on my thin frame but I was wondering if I should do more reps and less weight or more weight and less reps?

Answer

2 - 3 sets with a rep range of about 8 - 10 with the heaviest weights you can manage will gain you strength and some growth but Females don’t put on much growth as we don’t have the testosterone for bulking.

However you will get strong & toned from doing this.
