Most of these medicines are derived from the essence of flower thus the name. They are usually associated with mental symptom of a patient. There is one medicine called STAR OF BETHELEM. It is a combination of three medicines, It is usually used when a person is very disturbed due to sudden death in the family, seen some accident which is disturbing Ect . It stabilizes a person up to a certain extent. 5 PILLS EVERY ONE HOUR.

At times some medicines work so well with certain individuals that it is unbelievable.

One patient in her early fifties came to us. She used to have severe pain in her abdomen. She was suffering since last 20 years, Her pain started around 2.30 to 4. After the pain started if she passed stool she felt better or it subsided on its own if after 20 to 30 mins. Therefore she came to us doctor had advised her to get the pap test done & even get a sonography done when the pain was there. Since the pain was usually at night she couldn’t get sonography done but she came to us. We gave her some gastric reducing pills and high doze of homoeopathy medicines for 15 days. When she came to us her pain had reduced very much. It now pained very rarely , like once or twice in 1-2 months. She now calls it a miracle.

There are some regular patient who come every second week with some problem or the other, usually associated with gastric problem & other is weight problem Time again we have to explain to them to change their life style & eating habits. Once lady comes to us for weight problem but her eating habits were such that she loves to eat paratha & thepla every seconds day (they are laden with oil &ghee) . She could not eat simple food, liked junk food & worse so did not like to exercise much. Such people cannot be cured .The cure is completely in your own hands.

One person is in complete contrast to the above person. He was a complete workacholic , busy with his work , so timing of food was not regular but once he was detected with high cholesterol he completely changed his lifestyle. After having a nutritive good breakfast ,has a light lunch packed in box & evening he leaves his office at 6. Even if new clients come they are requested for next day appointment, now since traveling at the same time , he has made a number of friends by travelling in the train. They go home with some new story/humour & when he goes home he is always in good mood. His dinner is at 7.30 -8 pm one hour after his meal he goes for a small walk with his wife. His cholestrol has gone down considerably & now he and his wife both are health conscious.

Hi. I just signed up with extreme fitness today and hired a personal trainer.?

So all i want to know is that i have been hearing alot of things that say Extreme Fitness is a scam, and people that live in toronto/pickering/whitby that know the place im asking you this.

Is it really a scam, because ive read things on the internet but its the internet so i didnt trust it but ive also heard people talk about how its just a huge scam and the employess their treat you like a nobody. So is it really a scam?

Answer

I would of asked this ? before you signed up… I think these thing ie gyms and trainers are all good things. If it was a scam how are they still in business???

my friends goes there and she likes it just fine… try it and find out for yourself!

How much does a good gym costs in Toronto? Such as Extreme Fitness or something like that?

I know I can call them but I don’t want to get the whole speech and all that stuff, I have a gym at work but it is small (and free) So I’m considering about joining a gym like Extreme Fitness, any insight on how much it would cost per month, plus any “hidden” or extra fees?

Answer

Just google it.

Best extreme diets out there,do they work?

Im wanting to go on a diet, and my friend recently did the cambridge diet and she lost a lot of weight doing it. But I was wondering if there were any other diets out there that are similar, and if so has anyone tried them? I want to lose weight fast so I can get the breast reduction I so desperatley need. I know exercise plays a big part and I understand that, so any tips would be great, but I need exercise that doesn’t hurt my boobs.

Thank you

xoxo

Answer

In the first place, you don’t want to lose weight quickly, that messes up your bodily functions and can become dangerous. All you have to do is eat less, some say that if you eat a little every three or fours hours is better than three full meals, especially anyone that is a diabetic. Watch your fat and calorie intake, stay away from high sugar levels, drink plenty of water and instead of a running exercise, make it a fast pace walk. Just remember this, if it tastes really good and sweet, it’s no good for you. Eat more baked chicken and fish, stay away from reg. Coke or Pepsi an especially Mountain Dew, eat vegetables and salads with light dressings or vinegar and oil. Snack at night on fruit and drink more water, or a cup of green tea or decaffeinated tea sweetened with a sugar substitute. Drink skim Milk and put it on a cereal like Special K. When I was doing this, I would diet and exercise Monday thru Saturday. Sunday I would eat normal, but still walked, then Monday, back o
n my diet food. A fast pace walk is all the exercise you need, and ride a stationary bike some. Once you lose your weight, you’ll need to do some sit ups and small weight lifting, and just some basic exercise to firm up where you lost the weight. Wish for you the very best luck young lady.

Whats the fastest way to get fit?

how cn i get fit im 13 yrs old and im not fat but not really muscular i was thinking i want my chest to get proved and my abs

Answer

Balanced diet and exercise.

Which is the best fitness dvd to buy?

im having to cancel my gym membership coz i cant afford it anymore

i want to stay fit so which fitness dvd should i buy?

i like dance workouts and things that are similar.

ive tried the davina dvd and just found her annoying.

Answer

The P90X its a 90 day challenge , ow its perfect , check it out i have one actually and my mom and i partake in it . It has two dvds but u must follow them in a certain order , from

1 dvd. intro tape , back and chest, plometrics ( to rasie your heart rate ) , shoulders and arms , yoga , legs and back , kenpo ( like kick boxing )

2. dvd Back and Biceps , Cardio X , X Stretch , Chest, Shoulders and Triceps .

Its a great challenge if you are willing to take it on and have that willpower and not lazy or get to tired. All you need to do though is make you also get your own mat , weights , plates, and stuff u will need in some of the workouts are a chair , water , mat etc .

But its not really with dance , and u dont have to follow the 90 day thing if u dont want , u can just do your own routine if u want

Gym in st thomas?

what is the most convinient option for gym membership for someone who lives works and plays in the west side of st thomas?

paradise fitness is gone

Answer

There’s a new gym called Extreme Fitness.

All about P90x and Tony Horton’s 10-minute Trainer!!!!!?

Is P90x worth the money or is it something that is to hard so you just throw it in the corner and forget about it? Also how long do the exercises last and how fast do you see results, are you on a strict diet or anything? Is it for people who need to lose about 20 pounds and get in shape like me?

I also saw tony horton’s 10 minute trainer (same guy) and was wondering if that worked the same, does it take longer to lose weight and see results, which one would be better?

Also I would like to lose the 20 pounds and get in shape in about 3 months. Thank you!

Answer

P90x is difficult, but exercising and weight lose is, period.

M - Chest & Back - you need a chinup bar, DB’s and/or tubing. You will be doing a ton of pushups and various pullups.

W - Should/Bis/Tris - again you need DB’s and/or tubing

F - Back and Legs - more pullups and DB’s

M/W/F you do ab video - 16 minutes.

All the weight workouts are under 1 hour

T - Plyometrics (jump training) 1 hour

Th - Yoga 1hr 30 minutes

Sat - kickbowing

Sun - rest or stretch

4 weeks and then you change it up.

There is a diet program and you will see results in 2 weeks if you put forth the effort.

It will cost about $130 without the chinup bar or other assoccories.

Good luck, I loved it!

I am having nasty chest pains and can’t breathe properly… and I am only 20! Please help!?

I am only 20 years old. I am having chest pains quite frequently and at night and also heart pains. I have veru shallow breathing and ifind it hard to breathe especially before I fall asleep. I am VERY fit- I exercise daily and combine running, kick boxing, cycling and weight training. In morning I have a phlem build up from my chest in which I spit out lots of thick phlem off my chest and occasionally have a small bit of blood.Last year my friend woke me as I had chest pains and couldn’t breathe well and while asleep she heard my breathing stop. When I woke I couldn’t move I was in so much chest pain and was sat on floor with head between my kness before ambulance arrived. They said it was nothing and I thought they were useless as it clearly IS something. Even my kick boxing partner noticed I ‘don’t breathe’ while exercising’ its not that I dont more so that I breathe so so shallow. Please help!

Answer

They said it was nothing? WTF kind of people are working there?! You need to go to your doctor or to the ER. Demand that they find out what is really wrong with you.

How do I get abs and get rid of love handles/obliques? What workouts are best?

I know I have to lower body fat. I eat 5-6 small meals a day. I do 3 days of strength training and 3 days of 20 min cardio workouts. I also do ab workouts on the 3 days of strength training and 8 minute abs (youtube) on my cardio days. What can I do to eliminate my obliques/love handles and reveal my abs? Any info would help. I’ve went from 211 to 197 in the past 8 weeks.

Answer

Keep at it and vary your workouts.

Variety of exercise is the key I have found. For example..an exercise called Mountain Climbers.

Mountain climbers are done by starting in a pushup position

and then shuffling your feet in and out so that your knees are

moving in under your chest and then back out to starting

position. It sort of resembles climbing a mountain but flat on

the floor. If you want an advanced version, you can also shuffle your hands 8-10 inches forward and backward in

addition to the leg movements. This really makes it a full

body exercise and MUCH more difficult than standard mountain climbers.

After finishing each exercise, rest about 30 seconds before

starting the next exercise. Rest about 1-2 minutes after

completing each “tri-set” before repeating.

This will give you one of the best ab workouts you’ve ever had

without even doing any direct ab exercises. You’ll see what I

mean after you try it!

Once you get away from the myth that a 1000 crunches and 500 situps a day is all you need to do for great abs, then amazing results can be seen.

There is a completely free 65 page ebook about exercise, nutrition, abs and stomaches in particular at http://www.projext.co.uk that you can download (no catch!) and it is excellent.

It helped me greatly.

24/7 gym membership price?

what is the normal 1-month cost for a membership….and can you buy them just one month at a time?

Answer

Mines $50 per month at my local Gold’s Gym, a little steeper then the others but worth it. I use to attend planet fitness and it was super cheap ($10 a month) but the place was so packed i had to wait to use machines and what not. So where ever you decide to go definitely look into it. Good Luck!

Exercising for extreme fitness

That perfectly toned body does not require you to put an end to your social life and spend hours and hours doing those strenuous weight trainings in the gym. What comes to aid is a regular full body work out. A regular full body work out not only gets you that perfect muscular body but also comes with several added advantages, it not only helps you save time by cutting down on the amount of time spent at the gym but also prevents burnouts apart from boosting the cardiovascular system which leads to extreme fitness. What cuts down the time is that one needs to spend around an hour in the gym three times a week and that is what makes it a quality workout rather than concentrating on the quantity.

The biggest advantage of having to train only thrice a week is that it gives ample time to do cardiovascular exercises during spare time that ends up adding to the efficiency of the exercise regime. One thing that is very crucial is heavy weight lifting. Desired results can only be achieved with heavy weights; light weights would not serve the purpose here. Another thing to be kept in mind is to target one muscle group at one time.

The secret behind the success of this regime is that it not only boosts testosterone levels but at the same time also increases levels of cortisol in the body, both of which help you get that dream body by building your muscles.

ANSWER :

None! Diet pills are not the way to go. THeir effect is minimal with regards to suppressing appetite and the side effects can be nasty. THey include high blood pressure, nausea, restlessness, anxiety, insomnia, irritability, and hallucinations.

The best way to lose weight is through healthy diet and exercise. Keep up with eating healthy and exercise regularly. Find an activity you like so you’ll be more motivated to stick to it. As for eating better get a cookbook with healthy recipes so you can find delicious meals that you’ll want to eat.

ANSWER :

HEALTHY TALL YOUNG BODYBUILDERS FITNESS PLAN

Since body fat is lost all over the body proportionately, I have included a short-term plan that develops into a longterm plan until you have achieved your goals, or have decided to continue with this regular excercise program I have created for you.

I recommend getting right into cardio (working the heart muscle), then progressing to bodybuilding and maintaining the nutrition of some of the most elite sportsman in the world to get the weight(excess, unused fat) off extra fast and keep it off.

Having larger muscles also means the muscles will burn more fat while idle, meaning more weightloss/fatloss will come over time and whilst your watching t.v. lazy on the couch.

This plan will achieve both fatloss, strength gains, plus big muscle growth increasing muscle definition and a more youthful look.

It generally takes 1 year to start looking noticeably bigger than the average person when starting bodybuilding, or 2 years to look like a tank for an adult. It may take longer for a younger person.

——————————…

<<<FITNESS PLAN>>>

EXERCISE PLAN

Your exercise plan should be slowly increasing in intensity for the best long term results.

Start your exercise routine with:

A

day 1: Cardio Session (light walking)

day 2: Cardio Session (light walking)

day 3: Cardio Session (light walking)

day 4: Cardio Session (light walking)

day 5:… (continue pattern )

When you start including jogging in you Cardio Sessions then:

B

day 1: Cardio Session (starting to jog)

day 2: day off

day 3: Cardio Session (starting to jog)

day 4: day off

day 5:… (continue pattern )

When your physically able to achieve the Basic Body Building prescription, you can get started right away on this plan.

C

day 1:Cardio Session (light walking only)

day 2: Bodybuilding Session

day 3: Cardio Session (light walking only)

day 4: Bodybuilding Session

day 5:… (continue pattern )

Once you’ve lost the excess fat you don’t want you can continue with regular excercise if you wish to maintain your fabulous figure, and what better way then to continuing your Bodybuilding Sessions and stopping your cardio sessions!

This will be your new plan:

D

day 1: day off

day 2: Bodybuilding Session

day 3: day off

day 4: Bodybuilding Session

day 5:… (continue pattern )

BODYBUILDING SESSION

Sets and reps help us plan our exercises. Reps/repetitions refers to how many times you repeat the exercise without stopping for a rest break. Sets are how many times you do the nonstop reps. In between sets you must have a break.

-Bodybuilding-

= 3+ sets, 12 reps for all exercises in a session

= medium/high intensity

= break between sessions at least 1 day (2+ days if high intensity)

= break in between sets 5 minutes

= total session time about 1 hour

Warm up…

Move anyway you want until you start sweating, your muscles are warm/hot, your arms and legs are loose. Takes 5-10 minutes. For example, running nonstop, shadow boxing. Light stretching optional.

Main workout…

Full body workout, No weights:

a. pushup (chest (tri-cepts,arms))

b. chinups (upperback (bicepts,arms))

c. crunch/situp (stomach/abdominals)

d. squates (legs (lowerback))

Finish up…

Some stretching.

Increase the intensity of the exercises by doing extra sets.

CARDIO SESSION

Start off going on a 1 hour nonstop walk. After time when you’ve adapted to walking, increase the intensity by jogging part of the way. Then go the full 1 hour jogging. Make sure you do this progression slowly and allow at least 1 month before making it considerably more intense.

——————————…

<<<FOOD LIFESTYLE>>>

Diets are for quick fixes and usually end in going back to bad old habits. So changing you food lifestyle to one that is more healthy is essential to ensure you don’t have to worry about what your eating ever again and can get on with the rest of life. To achieve a healthy food lifestyle one must understand and make use of the following information.

Healthy: Low energy, high nutrient foods…

Having a healthy food lifestyle means you eat more nutrient rich foods such as fresh vegetables, fruits, nuts, grains, legumes that are more unprocessed. Healthy meats include fish and beef. Nutrients help the body function properly. Eating healthy foods means that when you get full, you’ll have less excess energy stored as fat compared to eating an unhealthy alternative. Which will aid in weightloss.

Having allot of low energy, high nutrient foods often can result in:

-better body function performance

-reduced risks of getting diseases

-reduced risks of getting heat attacks

-reduced risk of cancer

-nutritional nourishment

-maintaining healthy bodyweight

Unhealthy: High energy, low nutrient foods…

Eat less often high fat/sugar foods such as soft drinks, alcohol, some meats, fried foods, most fast foods, ice cream and potato crisps. Because excess sugar, protein and fat the body doesn’t need gets stored as fat (unused energy).

Having too much high energy, low nutrient foods too often can result in:

-obesity

-diseases

-heart attacks

-cancer

-malnutrition

-poor body function performance

Eating healthy foods and having a healthy food lifestyle means you:

-eat a variety of healthy foods every meal

-drink water often. drink when your lips start to dry up

-are full at breakfast

-eat good lunch

-eat good dinner

-have small nutritious snacks halfway between meals. e.g. apple, grapes. Or as a guide, every 2 hrs 30mins between meals.

-are never feeling stomach pain due to hunger. Eat if you do.

-choosing to eat healthy alternates often

-having some excess body fat is necessary so that your body won’t resort to eating your muscles after it eats whatever in your stomach to get energy for the body’s normal functions.

——————————…

<<<ESSENTIALS>>>

A good plan

Make sure someone who has the qualifications puts a plan together for you.

Proper technique

Make sure you are doing exercises correctly. Doing one incorrectly at the beginning may seem safe. But in the longterm after weeks, months or years it can result in serous injury to put you out of work for a week to months or even longer.

Raise Intensity

Raise the intensity of your exercises slowly, to keep achieving more from your fitness program in the longterm. This can be done by adding more reps/sets/stress/weights/angle for exercises.

Hitting a plateau

If you reach a plateau and increasing the intensity of the bodybuilding sessions reaches its limits, then take a couple weeks off and comeback and start at 75% of the level of the previous plateau (levels may be in number of sets or dumbel weight). Then when you reach your next plateau it will be higher than the previous one. Repeat this for each plateau you experience.

Muscle soreness

You will experience muscle soreness when starting your workouts. Muscles get sore because of the lactic acid that accumulates around the muscles during exercise. Lactic acid is a poison to muscles, but is a necessary sign so that you don’t push your exercise intensity over the limit and injure yourself.

Day after soreness is normal for a worked muscles. But soreness or pain longer than that is a sign that you could be doing damage to your muscles.

You may be working your abs too hard if they are still sore more than 1 day after they were worked, since the body system that creates the lactic acid during a workout usually takes 1 day to regenerate back to normal.

But take into account when working muscles to a new intensity, the effects of initial soreness will be high until your body adapts to the intensity.

Stretch your muscles to squeeze lactic acid out after workouts to reduce soreness.

Rest

Rest is vital to get good responses from exercise and nutrition for fatloss. Rest allows your muscles to grow. Sleep for 8-10 hours a night if possible. Most quality hours are from 9pm-6am. Not getting enough sleep aids fat gain.

Powers of water

Never underestimate the powers of water. People can live longer with only water than food. Drinking at least 1.5ltr of water over a day is necessary to maintain peak performance and remain alert, and increased blood circulation which will help the body recuperate better. This water gaol can be achieved by filling a 1.5ltr water bottle at the start of the day and making sure you have drunk it all by the end of the day.

If your lips are not moist, and becoming dry, it is a sign you aren’t getting enough water.

Dedication

This plan will definitely succeed in the shot-term, but continuing it for longterm and keeping regular excercise up so you can keep your body always in good health and shape, comes down to you and your dedication and a commitment, to continue no matter what.

Goodluck ^^ )

*Important

i. Consult your doctor before starting any nutritional or fitness plan to make sure its safe for you!

ii. Lifting heavy weights (e.g. heavy dumbels/barbels etc) can have a stunting effect on height growth for under 18’s or for those who haven’t reached body maturity (full body development stage).

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to eat healthy. Any links, any advice would be great! Thank you

ANSWER :

Hi Lucy! I started the Atkins diet last week and I have lost four pounds! I haven’t even been working out like I usually do. Basically, I do not ingest any carbs. It is a very easy diet to maintain if you are a meat lover, which I am. It is very simple! You can have any type of meat and any type of cheese and eggs.. you can eat things such as: chicken, beef, lamb, fish, cheese smothered chicken, cheeseburger [without the bun], steak, sandwich meat, omelets, philly cheesesteak [without the bun], etc. I am loving this diet. Yesterday, I had two boiled eggs for breakfast, a huge green pepper, ham, and cheese omelet for lunch, and a swordfish steak for dinner. Here are some sites that provide guidelines and some others with Atkins friendly recipes. The first link is especially helpful. Good luck hunny!

Is it healthy to eat nothing but fruit for one week?

for one week i plan on only fruit.

is this HEALTHY?

its just to kickstart a life of healthy eating. i feel i need to get rid of all the crap ive put into my body from eating takeaway everyday so i want to start FRESH.

also any more information on DETOX?

i want to clean out my body of all the yuck stuff and start over.

i dont want to take pills or use chemicals i just want to do this with natural foods.

any information on natural detoxes?

and also how long should the detox go foR?

i was thinking 7 days…

ANSWER :

Okay. Relax. Take a breath. And throw away your fruit only plan. You need some protein! So you want to clean up your act. That is great! Start by eating a cup of cereal and milk for breakfast. a few hours later (3) eat a fruit. 2 hrs later, eat a light lunch. Try a pb & j sandwich or a few slices of ham and cheese and a fruit. Then a handful of almonds 3 hrs later. then dinner at 630. then if you get hungry around 9 or so a handful of almonds (10-15). Exercise atleast 30 min 3 times a week. Drink lots of water. And as for detox…GREEN TEA is a great antioxidant, cleans you nicely. Blueberries should be your fruit of choice…antioxidants as well. There is a tea they sell that cleans you out (literally) i forgot what it has in it. But it is a detox tea and completely natural (all herbal). Also, eat al ot of fiber. Fiber one cereal is good. Or try grinding flaxseed into foods (1TBSP) 3 times a day. DOn’t buy it already ground because it loses properties. Grind it be
fore eating it. Don’t eat the seeds without grinding b/c your body can’t digest it.

Anyway, to conclude, don’t just eat fruits for a week. It is too much starch for your body and will be counterproductive in weight loss. If you want do veggies instead. atleast they are less starchy.

How can I stick to a healthy diet?

I’m about 5′3” and weight approx 120lbs. It’s not necessarily my weight that i’m concerned about, but my body shape. I’m fine with the way my stomach looks, but my thighs are really getting to me. I exercise fairly often but junk food really gets to me. I feel as though I rarely eat breakfast, lunch, OR dinner. All I eat is snacks pretty much all day long and most of the time they’re not very healthy. (chips, cookies, etc.) Out of pure luck, I hate soda so I usually drink green tea or water.

How can I begin to follow a more healthy diet?

IDK how but if you set a goal and a prize for your self if you reach that goal it should help a bit.

Tips for Loosing Weight

By

minootoo

You must count calories and at least in initial stages write down what you are going to eat and when then stay on that list. Your total calories for the week must not exceed, 1500 x 7 = 10,500 calories this will give you leave way to indulge at special occasions like wedding and parties, but you must write down what you eat and account for the calories latter and adjust the total intake next week.

Please read my article on this subject and follow them.

While at it build your body too, while reducing by doing body parts specific exercises.

If you are not too old, then best way to reduce your weight is to increase your height.

Vegetarians have a big advantage, in loosing weight, it cost less and they can satisfy the hunger more easily, some vegetables have only a few calories per pound, so they can fill themselves up with it before enjoying each meal, and never go hungry.

Most people should take one a day water soluble multi-vitamins when on this program; they can be purchased at the pharmacy near you.

Life Style Change Program for Loosing Weight

By

minootoo

Who needs to loose weight?

Answer is simply not every one, only the over weight person.

Who is over weight?

This is simple, it is easy to find out and it is available on line, it is call Body Mass Index, and calculations are simple. According to this calculation if you find your self say only 10 pounds more, you may not be over weight. Remember every one is slightly different and you can just watch it, on your own and not let it get out of hand.

What is the reason for being over weight?

This is also simple, have doctor check you out for any physical or hormonal abnormalities. The doctor should be advising you of your ideal weight even though you have already figured out the ideal weight and you are seen a doctor because your weight is not where it should be according to BMI.

Basic understanding of loosing weight.

Every one uses calories at all time. There may be some exceptions to this rule, for most of us; the rate of use, even when we are resting, we use 65 calories per hour minimum. This comes to1560 calories per day. The actual range is between 65 and 100 calories per hour. This is consistent with heart rate of 60 to 80 bits per minute.

Simply put any person eating only say 1500 calories a day, and moderately active, will not put on any additional weight. At this level of calories consumption the person should loose some weight over long haul, depending on the individual rate of metabolism.

What is a healthy weight loss?

When one tries to loose weight, one should loose excess fat; there should be a healthy loss of weight. Loosing muscles tissue is unhealthy.

How much is one pound of body fat?

One pound of body fat weight is approximately same as one pound of butter. If you look at a one pound package of butter, you will see it contains between 3200 to 3600 calories. This means that each time a person burns 3600 more calories then what the person takes in, the person will loose one pound.

How many pounds should a person loose in a month?

Any one that is trying to trim down can figure out how long it took to put on the excess pounds. The fact is; it did not happen over night. It usually creeps up, but the person realizes one day suddenly.

This is why a person should not be in a hurry to loose weight. The person should start at once but go slowly. Do not wait for New Year.

Taking above in to consideration a person should not loose more then 2 pounds per month. If a person looses any thing more then that, chances are that the person will not be able to maintain the weight loss. It will take extra efforts to loose and it will take extra efforts to keep it off. Remember slow and steady wins the race.

When an overweight person should start loosing weight?

At once. The person should not be in a hurry to loose weight. The person should start at once but go slowly. Again do not wait for New Year.

How does body react to weight lose?

Any time there is depletion of fat beyond certain level, the body reacts by slowing down metabolism, so that it can build up fat. If the body is use to say 2000 calories per day and detects only 1500 calories per day for considerable length of time it reacts to the situation by reducing the rate of metabolism. When this happens one need to help body by increasing activity. Usually takes about four weeks for body to react.

What is the relationship between body and body fat?

Under ideal condition fat act as a reserved energy source for our body. Certain level of fat is good for healthy living and even may save our life in certain life threatening situations. Every one should have minimum required level of fat on their body.

What if there is no weight loss at 1500 calories in take level?

This is a rear occurrence. Do not panic. The body has slowed down the metabolism to such a great extent that you must help it. The only way to help is to increase activities, this means you have to exercise. You do not need to join Gym but you can go on an an half an hour walk every day or batter still engage in a power walk for same duration. Power walk burns 250 calories per mile and walk burns 100 calories per mile approximately.

What is the importance of body fat for a female?

Females require little more body fat then men. In the absence of certain required level of body fat, females are not able to function properly; in particular they may not be able to conceive. You can find lot more about this on internet.

At 1500 calories intake per day what one must drink and eat?

Drink

One gallon of liquids most of witch should be in the form of water (zero calories).

Calories should be accounted for all other liquids.

Why water?

Water is a universal solvent, means it dissolves almost every thing at least in very minute quantities. This helps purification of body.

Eat

What should be your proportionate in take of fat, Proteins and Complex Carbohydrates?

This depends on what your need are.

1. Need to reduce fat.

Fat: 10 percent of 1500 calorie per day = 150 calories.

Complex Carbohydrates: 30 percent of 1500 calories per day = 450 calories.

Proteins: 60 percent of 1500 calories per day = 900 calories.

2. Need more energy.

Fat: 10 percent of 1500 calorie per day = 150 calories.

Complex Carbohydrates: 40 percent of 1500 calories per day = 450 calories.

Proteins: 50 percent of 1500 calories per day = 750 calories.

3. Need to reduce weight only.

Fat: 25 percent of 1500 calorie per day = 375 calories.

Complex Carbohydrates: 25 percent of 1500 calories per day = 375 calories.

Proteins: 50 percent of 1500 calories per day = 750 calories.

4. Need to increase muscles bulk, but still reduce weight.

Fat: 10 percent of 1500 calorie per day = 150 calories.

Complex Carbohydrates: 15 percent of 1500 calories per day = 225 calories.

Proteins: 75 percent of 1500 calories per day = 1125 calories.

Exercise the muscles you want to develop, you can find right exercise on line, recommend use of light weights.

Foot note: To take fat is so important, while reducing even fat, that it is included in all cases. If the fat is completely cut out, body will think of producing the fat, and will produce the fat by reducing metabolism, without fat in take, you may actually again weight even at lower than 1500 calorie level. You will feel run down and lethargic.

How one must, drink and eat?

Drink

Every one may not be able to follow this regime.

A 16 oz glass of water first thing in the morning will be very healthy start.

If you need to stabilize your stomach before eating, you can have a glass of water just before each and every meal. This is the easiest way to meet your quota of gallon of liquids.

Eat

To day almost half the world is starving.

In western culture. Standard healthy practice for long time was three warm square meals per day. No eating in between, but children were allowed night cap.

All that has changed, present thinking is 5 to 6 times per day. Any way what practice one follows is up to them; to each his own.

Another best practice will be a glass of water before bed time, nothing to eat for two hours before bed time.

How do I know the calorie count for various drinks and food?

If you are buying packaged items it is on the package.

Go on the internet and find the calorie information.

Lots of cook book now a days list calorie per serving.

Use your best guess, in this method use higher figure then you have guessed.

Weight watchers or low carb diet best for losing a stone?

I want to loose a stone in the next month. which way is best?

ANSWER :

Losing a stone in a month is difficult and - some would say - not very healthy, although it depends on how much you weigh to begin with. Half a stone is a more realistic goal - and if you exercise and tone up at the same time, losing half a stone can make a big difference to your appearance.

Weightwatchers promises that if you follow its diet, you will be able to lose 1-2 pounds a week (in your first month, if you exercise, 2 pounds a week is quite normal - you might even lose 3 or more in the first week).

I know people who have lost weight more quickly with low carb or other food-restricting diets, but they are hard to stick to because you are cutting out things you crave for - so for anyone with normal or below-average willpower Weightwatchers is a much easier way to lose weight over the medium to long term.

Exercise also makes a massive difference. I’ve been doing spinning 2-3 times a week and circuit training 1-2 times a week, and they are both fantastic for burning calories and shaping up.

How can i reduce in a healthy diet .?please recommend a diet.?

ANSWER :

Do you excercise a lot? A little? You probably need 2,000 calories. If you go to www.thedailyplate.com , they can show you how many calories you need based on your goal.

For example, if you have very little excercise, are a female, and want to lose 3 pounds a week, they will calculate how many calories you can have each day to lose your goal (3 pounds a week in this example.)

As for any diet, just drink lots of water. Sometimes when you feel like you’re hungry, it’s actually a thirst pain, so you should drink a glass or two of water. No diet is as good as just eating healthy. If you shave off 200-300 calories a day of what you “need”, then you lose 2 pounds a week.

Also the market of various fitness products or weight loss programs have gained momentum and now you may find lots of advertisements related to these products on televisions and other modes of communication. Those people who are looking for a sexy physique should know that only exercise is not enough to gain it but also consuming proper food or food which is good for health is also very important. Therefore it is very important to maintain diet fitness as it provides various nutrients which are required for the proper growth of the human body. Therefore people should consult their dieticians to know about the food which can help them to stay healthy. High carb diets and high fat diets are two diet programs which are being made by various health experts of dieticians.

Understanding the difference between the high carb diet and high fat diets is very important for the people. Food which is rich in carbohydrates is involved in the high carb diet program whereas food rich in fats is involved in high fat diet program. High carb diet enhances the levels of glycogen in the body which is very helpful component to provide energy to the body whereas on the other hand high fat diets is considered to be one of the richest source providing calories to the body. Therefore people should take proper consultation on which of the health programs will work for them depending on their health and body.

Even though I have a good fat to muscle ratio, i still a lot of fat around my stomach, thighs and pecks. But I heard about this thing called “Ultra Lean Green”, it’s simply a powder you put to a bottle of water to make into green tea, and supposedly it works really well. Are there any health issues I should be worried about because of my age? And also, if you have used it or know someone who has used it, can you tell me your or their results of it. Help me out guys, I’m tired of having a bunch of fat where I don’t want it. Oh, and one more thing, diet and exercise alone doesn’t seem to cut it for me.

Answer

just check on the label because most diet supplements say you have to be 18 before using it. You may even go to the doctor and ask about it.

Teen Weight Loss?

Hi. I’m 15 years old, 5 feet and 6 inches, and I am 125 pounds. I am not trying to lose major weight. I just want to shed 5 to 10 pounds. I was wondering if there are any teen appropriate weight loss supplements or metabolism speeders. I have been exercising a lot and eating healthy foods, but I can’t seem to lose weight. Are there any effective weight loss methods or excercises that I can do that are inexpencive?? Please help. Thanks.

Answer

You can’t lose weight because you don’t need to, simple as that.

There are no safe weight loss pills for ANYONE, let alone teens.

What is the best supplement to help lose weight quickly?

I am trying desperately to lose weight. I’m 18 and have struggled with weight all my life. I would love to lose about 130 and need to do so in order to be healty. I have tried every diet in the past from low carb, to low cal and fat. I do not eat much and gain a lot more weight than what I take in. I am one string from giving up and I am desperate. I am going to give another try to weight loss and this time I am planning to use a supplement to assist me. I am also considering doing the hollywood diet on the weekends to help. I went to the store and seen all of the different supplements and just really don’t know what is best. If you could help me I would really appreciate it.

Answer

honestly no supplement out there is going to work without proper exercise and a balance diet.

to start off with focus on cardiovascular work. 3 - 4 days a week of treadmill, bike, stairmaster, etc.. work for 30 45 min and always go for time rather than intensity (meaning lower down the level inorder to complete your time if you have too)

I hope this helps. I’d do this for at least 1 month before starting weight training. when a months up ask again

NV weight loss pills and side effects.?

I started taking NV weight loss pills three days ago. Several hours after taking the first pill (recommended on an empty stomach) I started feeling nauseous. I’ve been that way for 3 days now. Has anyone taken this pill and had any side effects? Wondered if perhaps my body just needed to get accustomed to the pill. I also tried Smart Burn with Hoodia - no side effects but the pills are HUGE and too hard to swallow.

Answer

Hi

You shouldn’t be taking any pills to reach your goals.

All pills will make you have a lot of side effects. While taking them, you feel horrible.

A better way for you would be to do excercises or jogging.

I wish you all the best

Cheers,

Gina

Weight Loss Tips? WITHOUT Extreme Dieting OR Pills?!?

I want to shed a few pounds, like, 10 to 20. Any tips? I need to do this NOW! I have like, about 2 weeks at the most.

Answer

Running and stretching is crucial to some great weight loss. 20 minutes running in the morning is a good starter to your day and is fast and easy. Eat foods that have a lot of water in them (fruits, veggies, broth-based soups, etc.) and drink a lot of water (stay away from liquids with calories). Stretching before bed and when you wake up helps too.

Weight loss tablets/supplements

Are people who take weight loss tablets instead of eating less and doing exercise just lazy?

Answer

dont be silly ive a thyroid problem

Best weight loss and muscle gain supplement?

Is there a supplement that I can gain muscle and lose weight, without stacking

Answer

In short, No.

It’s extremely hard (if not impossible) to lose weight and gain muscle at the same time. You can, however, lose fat and maintain your muscle mass. This is done by combining a low-calorie, low-sugar (low glycemic-index) diet and a cardio routine with your normal lifting routine.

Body builders go through cycles that consist of a few months of “bulking” and a few months of “cutting”. They do this because If the try to do both at the same time, one of them has to give.

When you’re trying to “cut”, or lose excess body fat, your lifestyle (diet and cardio) should be one that does not promote significant muscle gain.

My advice would be to do it the right way. Go through a bulking stage where you consume enough calories for your muscles to take full advantage of your workouts. Then, when you’re built up, go through a “cutting” phase where you cut down on the calories and try to remove sugar from your diet (only consuming complex carbohydrates, “good” fats, and plenty of protein as always).

Good luck my man.

Best weight loss pill?

What is the best weight loss pill available over the counter out there today? Please only answer if you have used them personally.

Answer

i have use tons of weight loss pills and the ones that work for me was:

zantrex-3 boost your energy

laptopril

hidroxicut ( no very good)

remember that everything has side effects

Does anyone know if the Acai Berry Pills REALLY work for weight loss?

I have read a few different things about this and everyone is saying how great it is for just about everything. However, I know how “great” things can sound when they are trying to be sold, so I was just wondering if anyone (not interested in making a sale) has tried this. If so what were the results? Honestly, is it worth the money?

Answer

Does Acai REALLY work for weight loss? The simple answer is yes. The complex answer is that acai will help you lose weight faster as long as you are eating right and exercising a bit. Let me explain…

First let me say that acai berries have far more antioxidants than any other fruit. Even more than blueberries! Besides that, the nutrients in acai berry supplements help many other diseases and maladies, from diabetes to arthritis to blood clotting. It really is a worthwhile supplement to add to your daily nutrition.

As far as the acai berry assisting with fat loss, acai can be a great weight loss aid. The berry’s natural concoction of essential fatty acids, fiber, phytosterols and amino acids work together to help your body burn fat more efficiently, process food more quickly and shed the unwanted pounds that you’d like to lose.

The fatty acids and amino acids aid in both muscle development and proper digestion, both of which are essential to fat loss. The fiber helps your body to move food out of your system quicker and also to help you feel full, as do fatty acids. Phytosterols help fortify your digestive tract, moving waste materials out and absorbing nutrients more efficiently.

I wouldn’t say that acai berries are the magic weight loss pill, but I would say that acai could be an important ingredient in your vitamin / supplement / weight loss arsenal. You should also exercise at least 3 times a week and stay away from junk food. Good luck!

What I recommend is to get a free trial of Extreme Acai, which you can get at the source link below. Then you should follow some of the other links on that site to find a sensible diet and a moderate exercise plan. Try to eat fewer carbs at night, and fewer calories over all if you think you can’t lose weight. Exercise at least 3 days a week. Give it 1 month and you should be able to lose 5-10 lbs easy.

So far using acai is working for me by helping my digestion, curbing my appetite, and by giving me more energy each day… I don’t even get sleepy around 3pm anymore. I’m going to keep using acai until a better antioxidant / weight loss supplement hits the market, if ever.

Has anyone tried weight loss supplement to help lose weight - Lipo-6, Hydroxy Cut, Alli etc?

Answer

i tried “Metabolife” pills about 5 years ago and i lost 30 pounds…but when i stopped the weight came right back and the pills had really bad side effects like rapid heartbeat and severe loss of appetite so 2 years ago i decided to try the Slimfast diet plan along with exercising 5 days a week i lost 50 pounds (which got me to my goal weight) and i kept it off for 2 years (until i got pregnant LOL) using diet pills is always a bad idea (most of them do not even work unless they have some type of ephedrine or Hoodia in them) the best way to lose weight is through diet and exercise…i hope this helps!!!

Weight Loss Supplements Notes

It is very important to stay healthy in our everyday lives. We need to keep track on our diet and make sure that we balance it in a right manner. We need to remember that becoming overweight could give rise to serious health issues in the future. Over weight people face many problems both mentally and physically.

There have been lots of controversies on Nutrition Notes on Weight Loss Supplements. The food and drug administration has banned the illegal products which are harmful to our health. However, there are lots of products that you will find in the market, which promises you to help with your weight loss program. There are possibilities that these products can give you side effects like heart and digestive problems, headaches, insomnia, and even psychological disorder.

The supplement manufacturers use chemical that claim to absorb carbohydrates but the research has not shown any results which can be termed as satisfactory. Chitosan is one such product which has failed drastically as Weight Loss Supplement. The food supplement manufacturers have also tried to make products which make you lose your hunger or appetite. What it means is that it decreases your appetite and makes you mentally feel not hungry. This product is known as Guar Gum, which again has failed to help you with the weight loss but it helps in controlling sugar and blood cholesterol.

There is another product in the market which is very appealing to the people and it is called cutting gel. It is one of the latest Weight Loss Supplement products. All you need to do is to apply this gel over the part of your body from where you want to remove the body fat. It is quite popular in the market these days.

It is advisable to lose weight in a natural manner and that would involve physical exercise and maintaining a balance diet.

im losing alot of hair lately! I KNW WOMEN LOSE THEIR HAIR ALOT BUT WHOA I MIGHT GO BALD :[

Answer :

Trying taking some vitamins and seeing a doctor. Prenatal vitamins are supposed to be good for your hair but I think your safest bet would be a multi vitamin/multi mineral

Answer :

U can use Cipla’s ” Togain 2%” lotion in your effected area regularly and use some capsules like ”Antoxid HC”, ”Biotee”. You can expect a better result within 2 -3 months.

Answer :

Start taking prenatal vitamins. that may help, you really need to consult a doctor though, and eat healthier. Losing weigh fast is usually bad for the body.

Whats the best product to use for hair loss?

I read somewhere that Homeopathy doesnt have any solution for baldness or hairfall so very skeptical of Dr. Batra and Dr. Bakson. Also, i havnt heard good reviews of Dr. Batra. They also claim that they CANT give new growth of hair but can just control hair fall.

just look at www.beuty.com

What is the best solution to my hair loss?

I have been pondering what to do about my hair loss for a while now. Within probably the last year to year and a half I have noticed thinning of my hair in the front part of my head behind my hair line. It is most prominent in the front, but seems to be slowly thinning as you move toward the back of my head. My hairline isnt receeding, and my dad doesnt have much hair loss at 60 and i really dont know of anyone in my family with hair loss. I am 23 and have went to a dermatologist. I believe she prescribed a drug propecia, whatever drug that has a side effect of temporary impetency in some, and rogaine. I am quite apprehensive on doing either and i really dont know what to do. Both i hear you have to take for the rest of your life, and if you stop at all, the results stop. The hair loss isnt that noticable to others yet, and i want to act now and stop this while i can. My hair cutter said i have had a spot there for some years now, but i never noticed it. Any help would
be great.

Answer :

Why do you think that losing your hair is a BAD thing? The media has you brainwashed. Baldness is awesome. Two words. Patrick Stewart. No woman could refuse him!

The gene comes from your mom’s side of the family. Look at her father.

Did you know that hair loss is the result of TOO MUCH testosterone? Yeah, you’re more of a man than those furry headed guys.

Bald heads are warm and smooth and beautiful. Don’t let the media tell you that you’re not gorgeous, I’m sure you are! Your hairdresser can help you out for years, making the most of this, keeping you away from the dreaded comb-over etc. Embrace it! Bald is SO HOT!

Answer :

There is one dermatoligist Dr Anand and he has a clinic in Besant Nagar. The clinic is in the same floor as Ponnusami Hotel near Vanandurai crossing on MG Road ( road beside Adyar depot), Try him out he is good

I am facing sudden hair loss after getting my hair rebonded..what should i do?

drink mixed juice of gourd and avla

How To PREVENT HAIR LOSS????

IM A 19 YEAR OLD MALE ..IVE ALREADY STARED LOSING HAIR IN SUCH A SMALL AGE ….CAN ANYONE PLEASE PLEAASE HELPME

Answer :

Just to share : Been on minoxidil for about a year and a half and have not seen even the smallest amount of regrowth that i almost fell into depression.

My hair only started visibly growing after doubtfully trying out the various natural techniques to re-grow lost hair @ http://www.regrowmyhair.info

I would highly recommend this easy to follow step-by-step guide with pictures to anyone who is suffering from hair loss right now.

Anyway, its also a cheaper and effective way of re-growing lost hair compared to those unnatural ways which may involve harsh chemicals that may have side effects.

What is the best product for hair loss. please help im desperate?

Im getting married in ab bout a year and my hair just keeps geting thiner and thinner. If it takes 6 months like they say im willing to do it help please thanks

Answer :

Massage aloe Vera gel over the scalp, leave it for about one hour. After this rinse the hair with warm water. It gives excellent results for hair loss if one uses this massage at least 3-4 times a week. Check out

I know you can buy mouth guards to help but he would prefer a treatment for the cause rather than the symptoms.

ANSWER

teethgrinding is a habit but can also be stress related or they could be anxious. there is no cure for teeth grinding sry. but there are ways of prevent it from occuring like going to an orthodontist who will look at his jaw because teethgrinding is the number one sysmptom of TMJ a jaw problem where your jaw joint can move from side to side and lock and also pop out of its joint many people experience these just thinking its a once off thing and ignore it to the point where they have done so much damage to the jaw joint that there can be very severe consequenses. the most common way to soothe teeth grinding is to wear a mouth guard which evenly dispatches the pain over the entire mouth and the guard also takes the pressure off so that the enamel isnt wrecked. then there is jaw surgery to fix the jaw harmony and there are many other ways but just go down to an orthodontist and they will help him (& u) with any problems you might have.

good luck

High Blood Pressure caused by stress: any drug-free treatment?

I regularly check my blood pressure and recently, my blood pressure has been at the range from Prehypertension to Stage 1 Hypertension. I had a detailed physical exam a couple of weeks ago, and the doctor said it had nothing to do with what I ate. Not to mention, I eat VERY healthy. I eat mostly fruits and vegetables, very little meat, and almost no junk food at all (I’m not overweight/obese) either.

People have told me to “watch my diet,” but as I’ve mentioned, I eat very healthy, and it has almost nothing to do with what I eat. So at this point, we are all assuming that my high blood pressure is caused by a series of stress from school, family, and friends–making it so I also lack sleep at the same time. I know “getting more sleep” is obviously a helpful treatment, but I’m looking for some more advice from health experts.

Is there any way I can treat this (i.e. meditation, more exercise, etc.)? Any other facts or advice related to high blood pressure are also welcome! Thank you!

ANSWER

Hmm….i know this may seem rude …but….is your body weight “high” or more importantly…is your body fat percentage “high”? One recomendation I have is fiber! Fiber is a great way to reduce BP. Women are suppossed to get around 17 grams a day. I too have high BP, mine is usually 130/70….which isnt good. I tend to worry alot. Flaxseed oil is also another great alternative or something else with high levels of Omega fatty acids. I just started taking them. Alot of people attribute to lower their BP with this method.

You also may have a condition known as “White coat syndrome” it is a fancy term for “nervousness of doctors and hospitals.” Everytime I go to the doctors I get a little nervous.

Is Homeopathy treatment effective for depression?

ANSWER

Yes, homeopathy has helped countless people naturally, safely, affordably and permanently heal from depression.

Homeopaths are not counselors, although our listening skills makes a client feel as deeply heard and received. Rather, we tease out “symptoms” in the sharing of your depression, and physical symptoms are part of the treatment. Symptoms to a homeopath go beyond those that people commonly associate with illness. We explore your food cravings, aversions and those that give you problems; the position in which you like to sleep; your weather and temperature preferences; your past and current health history; the history of your family’s health, as well as genetic predispositions; life situation events and stresses. Whether the underlying cause of your depression is childhood trauma, bereavement, an injury or accident, related to hormonal transitions - in treating the individual you uniquely are, hope and joy are certain to follow.

I’m a certified professional homeopath with a family practice for more than 25 years. In case you’re located in North America, the national directory for certified professional homeopaths is http://www.homeopathicdirectory.com.

ANSWER

Yes, but the sufferer must walk away from stressful situations even if it is a job.

Downsize the life, get rid of the TV, relax, go for walks and MEDITATE. Meditate on peaceful thoughts and your breathing. Close your eyes and clear your mind. Keep doing this over the weeks or months until you are able to do so without stressful thoughts.

Envision yourself as healthy and happy.

Your heart and body will recuperate.

I work two jobs and feel really wound up at the moment, I dont get a lot of me time and would like to know what kind of exercise is best for it

ANSWER

Exercise like yoga or ti-chi is good for stress. It will help to loosen tense muscles and improve the energy flow through your body (stress can often lead to energy blockages and all the associated symtoms of stress).

A good relaxation exercise to do before you go to sleep at night or at the start of the day is:

lie on your back with your eyes closed.

imagine a warm golden light rising through your feet, slowly up through your legs to your root chakra (on your pelvic bone) You may see a gold light and feel the warmth

At each Chakra (root - pelvis, sacral - below naval, solar plexus - above naval) imagine the light, warmth and energy penetrating all of the muscles in the area.

When you reach the heart chakra (in your chest) imagine the warmth, light and energy flowing down your arms, then up to the throat chakra (over your throat) third eye chakra (brow) and crown chakra (top of your head) and connecting you with a divine or higher power.

The energy and light spills over and emcompasses you in an egg shape.

Then imagine a white light coming through your crown chakra down through your feet connecting you to the earth and grounding you.

The white and gold lights merge. Know that this energy is protecting you and is available for you to draw on at any time.

Effects of STRESS on Health :

Stress refers to the psychological and physiological response of our body to events that usually threatens our physical or emotional balance. A stressed out person would usually experience an increase in heart rate, palpitations and tensing of the body’s muscle.

While it is true that stress has become part of life, particularly now with our extremely fast-paced lifestyles, there are certain kinds of stress medical experts have considered as chronic stress. Chronic stress, or simply being distressed, is a long term physical and psychological condition where the responses of the body to stress last for a longer period of time and, on top of the various symptoms that have already been mentioned, the person would also become more sickly because the immune system is also affected, making them more susceptible to contract all sorts of illnesses and diseases. Other health conditions experienced by a person experiencing chronic stress are the following:

Headaches

Upset Stomach

High Blood Pressure

Chest Pains

Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Eating Disorders

Allergies

Insomnia

Backaches

Colds

Fatigue

Although stress is a common phenomenon, it is considered by medical experts as a subjective phenomenon depending as to whether a particular event is considered by an individual as threatening or pleasurable. This is also the reason why one event can trigger various levels of stress towards different individuals. What makes diagnosing stress on a certain individual is that people react to stress differently. Some people might be more prone to having eating disorders as a response to stress while some might just simply experience severe headaches.

Learning how to deal with stress is the best way to avoid the various health conditions brought about by this. Some suggested methods of coping with stress include meditation, relaxation and changing one’s daily routine.
