Precautions during pregnancy.?

Hello everyone,

After going through HCG test, it is discovered that my wife is pregnant after 5 months of our marriage. Nowadays she is feeling sick i.e. vompting, lactation, high body temprature and depression. . we are also visiting our doctor and at our every visit, they change their opinion. can anyone advise in the better way.

Answer :

See a midwife. Vomiting is very normal even until 5months along or so. I would be worried about the high bodie temp but some women’s metabolism increases so much they are just warmer. Depression is normal but only to an extent. Seek a pregnancy counseling specialist. also remember that your wifes hormones are crazy right now and that can throw her moods.

I am suprised she is lactating already. that is VERY weird in my personal experience.

try not to worry, pamper your moodie wife, and make her feel like more of a woman now that she carries you child.

good luck to you both

What are the precautions which one should take during pregnancy..I am 6 weeks pregnant so?

what do you think should be the precautions i know it depends on the pregnancy but i just want to know the general precautions which one has to take during pregnancy..

Answer :

Well as far as eating goes, don’t eat any raw meat. Any steak or anything needs to be cooked well. Also dont’ eat any soft cheese or blue cheese, because these can set up infections in the body.

You dont’ want to over excert yourself. I mean, don’t go running miles or anything. Walking is great. Don’t do much more than you did when you were not pregnant.

Don’t lift more than 25 lbs. My doctor told me this one. I used to lift 50 lb bags of feed for my farm animals all the time, so I thought it would me no big deal, but she said absolutly not.

As far as sex goes, don’t let anything unnatural go up inside of you. I mean like viberators. They can really hurt the baby.

Also, Dont smoke, or be around people that smoke, or be around harmful chemicals. Obviously don’t do any drugs. Drinking is a topic of discusion. Some doctors say it’s ok for a glass a day of wine at supper. Some say no. I dont’ know about you, but I’m not taking a change with the life of my baby.

They all say no hard liquar.

Good Luck

Precautions in pregnancy during eclipses?

Answer :

In India, there are a lot of beliefs regarding precautions that need to be taken during pregnancy. However, till date there is no scientific base for any of them. They are just myths. Doctors do not advice any additional precautions! The pregnant lady only needs to take sufficient nutritional food and some physical exercise.

What precautions did you take before flying while pregnant?

I will be flying, a total of a 3 hour flight with a lay over in between, at 27 weeks along. I have already checked with the Airline, South West and they do not restrict air travel during pregnancy until 38 weeks at which time you will need a letter from your Dr. So, as far as their policy I am in good shape, anything else you did to prepare?

Answer :

Snacks! I flew about the same time you did on a seven hour flight to california from new york. Be prepared for lots of nervous “She’s going to deliver on our flight” looks! Hah! I also brought some pain relivier, sitting on that flight for so long with swollen feet and your big pregnant butt smushed into a chair gets a little painful. All in all your flight is short so don’t be too concerned!

Precautions during waiting to transfer for IVF?

Any precautions or advice during waiting to transfer for IVF? I have a relative who is about to have IVF and wanted to give her some notes from others who also had IVF.

Answer :

The doctors will give her all of the do’s and don’ts . . . so I will skip that! We completed a successful IVF cycle in January 2008 - here is my advice:

1) Don’t read into everything such as symptoms during the wait. My symptoms were just like PMS - bloating from a bit of ovarian hyper-stimulation, some cramping and I had a very faint spot of blood on the day that we went for the blood test - I really did think that like all of the previous IUIs . . . we had failed. Imagine my surprise when we got the positive results!

2) Do what you can to laugh - DH and I would walk around the house yelling “STICK” at my abdomen . . . it lightened up the wait time.

3) Try not to get hung up on testing early - if you get a negative because it will be too early you’ll swing between disappointment and wondering if it is accurate. Try to wait it out.

4) RELAXATION - this is key- take it easy and pamper yourself. This is an individual choice - I would meditate (you can find great guided meditations to download from I-Tunes), did acupuncture, read chick-lit, watched TV, wrote in my journal and snuggled with my husband.

Ladies only. What is the best lovemaking position during pregnancy???

What is the best lovemaking position ( in terms of pleasure for ladies) during pregnancy??? Is it really harmless to make love during this time?

Some positions get more difficult as the pregnancy progresses, so plaese tell me detailed answer for didderent positions for 1-3 months , 4-6 months & 7-9 months pregnancy….

Answer :

For the first 6-7 months it didnt bother me and my husband, nothing changed other than I wasn’t quite as flexible. After that my comfort and pleasure both became an issue. For us the best was me laying on my side with my top leg laying over him while he was behind me, or on my hands and knees with a couple of pillows under my stomach to support it. If you lay on your back when you’re big on the bed while he stands up or kneels, that’s good too if it’s a quicky, after 5 months you shouldn’t be on your back very long, it cuts off circulation to you and the baby and could cause you to pass out. Good luck!

What are the precautions to avoid pregnancy apart from using pills or condoms.?

Answer :

No bouncy bouncy

Sex during pregnancy?

I want to sex my wife in pregnancy period

Answer :

As long as her pregnancy isn’t a high-risk pregnancy, you two should be able to do it whenever you feel like it. Just keep in mind that when she gets bigger, you’ll need to find positions that are comfortable for her, so she’ll be able to breathe! My husband and I had that problem until I told him flat out what positions were preferable.

What precautions should be taken during 6 weeks pregnancy?

I am a working lady. Should I continue to go out, I have lower abdomen crampings, back pains & nausea if I go out. What is the remedy?

Answer :

I actually just read that sometimes just slowing your pace down instead of rushing will help alleviate some of the “morning sickness” feeling. Maybe when we rush our body interprets this as anxiety or stress and creates more stomach acid which makes us feel more nauseous.

Slow down, carry melba toast or crackers.

The good news is that it is temporary for most woman and gets much better or disappears after the first trimester.

There is a great website that I am going to link you at the bottom of this message - it is the website of the late Dr. Brewer. He conducted a study which turned out fascinating results: when he applied a specific diet to pregnant women, it completely anhilated all incidences of pre-E and E in the group.

He has a book if you are interested in reading the medical literature and writings on it. It is called “Metabolic Toxemia of Late Pregnancy”. It is a tough read, though, and I recommend simply going to the website and reading the ‘layman’s version’.

In addition, to help with tracking your intake and diet, I am linking you the site on the Bradley website, which applies the Brewer pregnancy diet - there is an option to click on a link that brings you to an Excel spreadsheet that you can save on your puter and record your diet.

Let me know if you want more information. PM or email me.

Not supposed to have galvanic electrolysis during pregnancy???

My electrolysist told me it was fine and now I’m worried I’ve fried my baby. Supposedly thermolysis is fine but not galvanic. What should I do? I went last week. I called my dad (a doctor) and randomly told him I had an appointment and he gave me a big lecture about how I’m not supposed to be getting that. I am so mad!

Answer :

Before you do things like that you should always ask your doctor, not the guy performing it, he just wants your money. You should talk to your doctor, not the people on here. Especially if you feel you have “fried” your baby…

Shall i travel in train during pregnancy for 12 hours?

iam carrying 6 months. shall i travel in train.

Answer :

Dear Priya,

Compared to other modes of travel, train is the best, provided you book your seat/berth in advance. Please ask for a lower berth. Please extend your legs on the seat or keep it in elevated posture so that you will not have swelling on the leg. Also, keep moving within the compartment so that you can relax a bit. Avoid eating deep fried items. Instead eat good fruits, homemade food and drinks. Read some nice books or journals to make your travel a pleasure.

Also, please remember to keep your medicines handy and contact telephone numbers of your doctor, hospitals en route etc so that in case of emergency you can reach them fast.

Cheers

Some ways to lose weight :

Control your weight and avoid weight gain as you get older are important ways to prevent a large number of weight-related health problems .

Indeed, if you have more than 20 pounds over your ideal weight, you are at higher risk for a rogues gallery of potentially deadly conditions, including diabetes, high blood pressure, coronary heart disease, endometrial cancer, obstructive sleep apnea, and breast cancer .

Indeed, most people who are overweight tend to avoid exercise, and avoid that only adds to the toll paid for the extra kilos.

If you have a sedentary lifestyle and are overweight, you are at a higher risk of heart disease and other health problems. And, if you already have a medical condition such as high cholesterol, overweight puts you at higher risk for complications .

The good news is that even a modest amount of weight loss can significantly improve your health. Loss of 10% of body weight can reduce blood pressure, high cholesterol, triglycerides and high blood sugar.

Today there are many procedures that can help people and help weight loss effectively. One of the most well-known procedure in the weight loss is through hypnosis.

But many misconceptions have with regard to the application of hypnosis in losing weight. And because it is not drugs or any type of medicine and surgery, many people tend to believe that weight loss through hypnosis seems to be one of the safest weight loss program .

To know more about hypnosis and its impact on weight loss, here is a list of some facts that you an idea what it can do to your body weight .

1st Hypnosis can be a risky immediately, if not properly done and not by the people who are well trained for this particular job and the real concept of hypnosis .

Although many people tend to believe that hypnosis does not pose imminent danger to their Health, nor is it important to know that the person, the procedure is good enough, and that he or she knows what factors to consider before the procedure.

2nd Hypnosis can not remove excess fat from the body, and therefore make someone lose weight .

Most health experts say that hypnosis should be a part of a process of assimilation. It should never be used as the sole weight loss procedures .

In addition, a session of hypnosis is only very limited results in an individual weight. When losing weight, hypnosis with psychotherapy is more effective than hypnosis alone. This is because hypnosis is just a state of deep relaxation by the spirit in which you have control over his own body .

3rd Hypnosis is a way to the underlying state of a person. If a person is on the hypnotic stage, the body better to suggestibility because of its intensified state of concentration .

This does not necessarily mean that hypnosis can already reprogram the mind of a person.

In reality, hypnosis can only be the spectrum of trouble-free relaxation prerequisite for the proper initiation managed by a professional hypnotists. Therefore, it should not be considered paranormal and magical in its end .

Boiled down, more people should be aware that hypnosis is not the only effective way to lose weight. It is more a moderator treatment of various techniques .

Therefore, in combination with other weight loss management program to be effective on people who wanna lose excess weight. In this way, people lose more weight with a more relaxed and refreshed state of mind .

As they say, a healthy mind is a healthy body.

Heart Attack symptoms

Are these heart attack symptoms?

im afraid i may be having a heart attack. im 18. a year ago i was jogging a lot, and in really great shape, but have been “obese” my entire life. I became depressed and stopped working out, started eating like ****, lying in bed all the time, and smoking a lot of cigarettes. this has been my lifestyle for almost a year. the smoking only about 6 months. but i smoke a lot when i do. sometimes so much it makes me wheeze.

I’m just now coming out of it, and I’ve been getting kind of hyper and wild lately (like i used to) and one night i got drunk and something weird happened. My chest felt “strange”. i wasn’t sure if it was heart or lung related, it felt a little heavy, and it was kind of hard to breathe. it lasted a few minutes, and being the hypochondriac that I am, my anxiety made it a little worse. I got my mind off of it and I was fine. Then the other night i was walking and felt a sharp pain really quick in my chest area…but it was fine after that.

My mind wasn’t though.

Answer :

This sounds VERY much life a panic attack, and thus nothing to worry about. However if you are concerned then by all means go see your doctor. If nothing else it will make you feel better knowing that you are in fact healthy.

Heart attack symptoms?

Here they are dull pain all day, heart will at times beat irregular, fingers on one hand numb, very cold,

Answer :

What you are describing sounds like a possible heart attack, if you seem irritable, and sweat-tie go have this checked out. It could also be angina.

Do I have heart attack symptoms?

I have twice in the last two weeks had severe arm and shoulder pain. Shooting down from my shoulder into my arm almost paralyzing. Once when I was sitting on the couch watching TV. The other was last night it woke me out of a deep sleep; the pain was so serve that I woke up my husband. I thought he was going to take me to ER, but after 15 min the pain went away. There is a small burning pain in my chest. But, most of the pain is my arm and shoulder it hurts so bad I almost think I am having a stroke or something. Please give me your opinion. I am 44 years old.

Answer :

its a alarming sign and more over its winter season. so seek doctors help at the earliest. there are more cases of heart attacks are in winters rather than other seasons and we find more cases of heart attacks in the night and early morning. its not good to waste time asking such questions at this forum. it could be life threatening so take it seriously. it might be angina or heart attack so please do not ignore. in cardiac problems its not necessary that such pains stays longer but in this much of time it can damage heart tissues which are irreparable.

good luck!!!

How long can heart attack symptoms last?

I’ve had chest discomfort for almost 2 months now. The discomfort always goes away when I press down on parts of my ribs. However, the slight pain always occurs in different parts of the left chest. I’ve also been having jaw discomfort that feels like a growing pimple in the area where the neck joins the lower jaw on both sides of my face. My doctors did an EKG, listened to my heart beat, did an x-ray, tested my blood, and said I am fine. I am 16 years old and I am afraid I might have a heart attack. Any suggestions?

Answer :

An ECG will have revealed if you have had a heart attack, also a blood test will have shown something.

When I was 28 I had a heart attack and had no jaw ache, no pain on my left side, just a crushing feeling in the centre of my chest. I thought I was OK cause I didnt have any of the above ‘commonly’ reported symptons ( I thought that you were only having a heart attack if you felt shooting pains down your left arm) - Bottom line, never take chances with chest pain, whatever your age. By all means get a second opinion on the chest pain, but after the tests you’ve had I would rule out heart problems.

Also, a high percentage of patients who have sufferred a heart attack dont get any Jaw pain or left sided shooting pains. If this is your guide to deciding whether you are having a heart attack, you could be putting yourself in danger.

Patient has possible heart attack symptoms - what tests are done in the ER & how long do they take for result?

Answer :

EKG, a CBC, Cardiac enzymes and tropin ( these are released when the heart is damaged and tropin is only found in the heart so if it’s elevate you probably have had a heart attack) your oxygen level, A metabolic panel which schows how your kidneys are working and how your blood sugar is and esp. your potassium because potassium is vital to muscle contraction. If the EKG and symptoms warrent it you may go directly to the heart cath lab where they thread a tube from your groin into your heart blood vessles and can dialate them if clogged by a clot or plaque which causes a heart attack. This can prevent the heart from being damaged. It should take a few minutes to get the EKG but depending on your hospital the blood work can take 30 minutes to several hours! obviously the sooner the better. If you have the chance to go to a heart center, thats the place to go. They work the fastest because time lost is heart muscle damage.

Chest pain, heart problems?

i’ve been playing rugby for some while, while doing pushups and stuff, sometimes i find that my chest hurts. I asked a doctor about it, he said he heard no heart murmurs, then they checked me using this thing with lots of wires to check my pulse in many parts of my body, after checking the results they found i was fine. my heartbeat was something like 55 at the time, theres not excess pressure either. The doctor said that it may be because my chest muscles aren’t growing at the same pace. I just want to make sure this is true, and that i don’t have heart problems. Because if i had heart problems i would probably know already right? or is it not obvious?

Answer :

Maybe you do have heart problems ,maybe you don’t.Take the doctor’s advice and relax.

You say that it only hurts sometimes when you exercise,I reckon you’ll have the pain whenever you strain yourself, if you do have heart trouble or otherwise.

You could get a second opinion and find that you’re in trouble, and then what? A third opinion?

There should only be so much that you should dig

before you unearth something you don’t want to know.

Ten years ago I had similar problems when I used to be heavy into soccer.Checked with the doctors and they put me through the whole nine yards(x-ray,ECG,BP,Blood test,Treadmill, the works) and found nothing.I wasn’t convinced and probed further. The doctor actually told me off saying that I was paranoid for nothing. I’m not saying that I’m

 100% but I don’t want to know.I’m sure you’re OK.

Panic Attacks Vs Heart Attack?

My heart is racing very bad and I’m currently having a panic attack. Sometimes I feel so crazy, I keep convincing myself I need to contact 911 cause I feel like I’m having a heart attack.

What are some similar symptoms ad distinct DIFFERENCES between panic attacks and the beginning stages of a heart attack?

Thanks

Answer :

Unless you know the facts, you may mistake the chest pains that normally accompany panic attacks for a heart attack.

Every year, thousands of people having chest pain, difficulty breathing, pain or numbness in the left arm and tingling throughout the body end up in a hospital emergency room because they believe they are having a heart attack. Typically, a few tests are run, and the patient is sent home because the nature of the attack he or she experienced is one of panic, not coronary.

It’s easy to understand how a panic attack can be mistaken for a heart attack; the two share several common symptoms-with subtle, but recognizable differences. For instance, the chest pain from a heart attack is focused in the center of the chest and is crushing, as if a heavy weight is sitting on top of the chest. It is usually persistent, may radiate to the left arm, neck or back and lasts longer than 5 - 10 minutes. Heart attack victims don’t hyperventilate (unless the person’s fear of heart attack triggers a panic attack), any tingling they experience is usually confined to the left arm, and vomiting is common.

During a panic attack, chest pain is localized over the heart and described as “sharp, and comes and goes. The pain usually intensifies with breathing in and out, and pressing on the center of the chest. Panic attack may cause nausea, but vomiting is rare, and if tingling is present, the entire body tingles. Hyperventilation almost always precedes a panic attack. Using deep breathing techniques dispel this and combined with relaxation exercises, other panic attack symptoms disappear in less than 5 minutes. If the location of the pain moves to the center of the chest, doesn’t go away within 10 minutes, is accompanied by more than one incident of vomiting or diarrhea, or goes away and returns a few minutes later, you should immediately get medical attention.

Panic attacks don’t cause heart disease, and some experts say that they actually affect the heart similarly to the way cardio exercise does, by causing the release of adrenaline, increasing the heart rate, and expanding blood vessels. On the same note, heart disease doesn’t cause panic attacks, although a person with a history of panic attacks who is actually having a coronary may also panic for fear of worsening the heart damage, dying or being disabled.

Using the correct techniques and exercises, you can learn to control panic attack symptoms. I’m one of those with anxiety/panic disorders who have benefited from these practices. I’ve learned to overcome the symptoms of panic attack and differentiate them from heart attack symptoms. It takes practice to control panic attack symptoms, but if you learn to recognize the difference between panic and heart attack signs, and you know that what you’re experiencing is only a panic attack, they’ll be much easier to deal with.

If you want to learn more about heart attacks and how to deal with panic attacks, there is a great amount of information on the Internet. Learning the difference between the two kinds of symptoms makes all the difference in how you react to panic attacks!

Did you know that every 8 seconds someone in the US has a panic attack? True! And sometimes I’m one of them! How about you?

I’ve had panic attacks that have lasted 30+ minutes, and was absolutely certain I was having a heart attack! I couldn’t breathe, I had chest and neck pains, my left arm hurt, yet at the same time was numb; how weird is that?. Although I still feel the symptoms of panic attack coming on, from time to time, I’ve learned how to take control of my thoughts and reactions, and have changed my lifestyle to drastically decrease the chances of panic attack.

What is the symptoms heart attack?

Answer :

MIne was: Severe heart burn: Pain in left shoulder blade. Profuse sweating, shortness of breath. Passing out while driving. Hitting a telephone pole. Air bag deployment: Two precardial thumps while in the back of the ambulance. Stint placed to open 100% blocked LAD.

If a person lives alone and has a heart attack how long do the paramedics have to make it before they die?

Answer :

There is some confusion here between “heart attack” or myocardial infarction and cardiac arrest. For a heart attack or MI obviously the faster response time the better. Paramedics and ER’s use the golden hour rule so the best outcomes occur within the first hour. For cardiac arrest the patient is clinically dead at the moment of arrest so these patients have a very poor outcome no matter what the response time is. As a paramedic I have never heard any 5 to 15 minute rule on anything related too cardiac care.

What are the symptoms of a future heart attack?

I’m only 25 but I’ve been feeling alot of stress this week. I’ve been having heart palpatations and a “heavy” or “tension” feeling in my chest, upper back, and left shoulder, and sometimes upper left arm as well. I’ve been trying to relax. also sometimes when I breathe my chest feels a little tight or constricted.

How serious are these symptoms? They are not quite as bad as they were yesterday. Should I just try some exercise today?

Answer :

Heart Attack Symptoms and Early Warning Signs:

Heart attack is the number one killer of both men and women in the U.S. Each year, about 1.1 million Americans suffer a heart attack, and 460,000 of these are fatal. Most of the deaths from heart attacks are caused by ventricular fibrillation of the heart that occurs before the victim of the heart attack can reach an emergency room. Those who reach the emergency room have an excellent prognosis; survival from a heart attack with modern treatment should exceed 90%. The 1% to 10% of heart attack victims who die later include those victims who suffer major damage to the heart muscle initially or who suffer additional damage at a later time. Fortunately, procedures such as coronary angiogram and PTCA (coronary balloon angioplasty), and clot dissolving drugs are available that can quickly open blocked arteries in order to restore circulation to the heart and limit heart muscle damage. In order to optimally benefit heart attack victims and limit the extent of heart damage, these treatments to open blocked arteries
should be given early during a heart attack.

Knowing the early warning signs of heart attack is critical for prompt recognition and treatment. Many heart attacks start slowly, unlike the dramatic portrayal often seen in the movies. A person experiencing a heart attack may not even be sure of what is happening. Heart attack symptoms vary among individuals, and even a person who has had a previous heart attack may have different symptoms in a subsequent heart attack. Although chest pain or pressure is the most common symptom of a heart attack, heart attack victims may experience a diversity of symptoms that include:

  * Pain, fullness, and/or squeezing sensation of the chest

  * Jaw pain, toothache, headache

  * Shortness of breath

  * Nausea, vomiting, and/or general epigastric (upper middle abdomen) discomfort

  * Sweating

  * Heartburn and/or indigestion

  * Arm pain (more commonly the left arm, but may be either arm)

  * Upper back pain

  * General malaise (vague feeling of illness)

  * No symptoms (Approximately one quarter of all heart attacks are silent, without chest pain or new symptoms. Silent heart attacks are especially common among patients with diabetes mellitus)

Even though the symptoms of a heart attack at times can be vague and mild, it is important to remember that heart attacks producing no symptoms or only mild symptoms can be just as serious and life-threatening as heart attacks that cause severe chest pain. Too often patients attribute heart attack symptoms to “indigestion,” “fatigue,” or “stress,” and consequently delay seeking prompt medical attention. One cannot overemphasize the importance of seeking prompt medical attention in the presence of symptoms that suggest a heart attack. Early diagnosis and treatment saves lives, and delays in reaching medical assistance can be fatal. A delay in treatment can lead to permanently reduced function of the heart due to more extensive damage to the heart muscle. Death also may occur as a result of the sudden onset of arrhythmias such as ventricular fibrillation.

What should you do if you experience these symptoms? Doctors agree that if you’re in doubt, get checked out anyway. Even if you’re not sure if something is really wrong, you should call 9-1-1 if you experience heart attack symptoms. Prompt administration of drugs can help restore circulation to the heart and increase your chances of survival.

What are symptoms for women having heart attack?

are they same as for man?

Answer :

There were some studies done and some women do have different symptoms than men. Some women do not have acute chest pain which is a well known symptom for men. I am sure it depends upon the person. But below is some interesting information I found about women having a heart attack. I will provide link below with more information also.

Female Heart Attack Symptoms: What are They?

These chest-related heart attack signs often appear in men, and many women get them, too:

Pressure, fullness or a squeezing pain in the center of the chest, which may spread to the neck, shoulder or jaw;

Chest discomfort with lightheadedness, fainting, sweating, nausea or shortness of breath;

But many women don’t have chest pain.

In the Circulation study on early female heart attack symptoms, researchers found that during a heart attack, 43% of the 515 women studied had no “acute chest pain… a ‘hallmark symptom in men,’” according to study authors.

Nevertheless, the study cited evidence that many emergency room doctors still look mainly for chest pain. Only a minority check for the other types of symptoms that women tend to develop. As a result, doctors may miss heart attacks in women.

“Although women can have chest tightness as a symptom of a heart attack, it’s also important for women to recognize that might not be their symptom,” says Nieca Goldberg, MD, a cardiologist and chief of Women’s Cardiac Care at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City and author of “The Women’s Healthy Heart Program.”

“Women commonly have symptoms of shortness of breath, unexplained fatigue, or pressure in the lower chest, so they easily mistake it as a stomach ailment.”

In the Circulation study, common female heart attack symptoms include:

shortness of breath (57.9%)

weakness (54.8%)

unusual fatigue (42.9%)

Women also had these symptoms:

Nausea

Dizziness

Lower chest discomfort

Female Heart Attack Symptoms: Warning Signs That a Heart Attack May Be Coming:

In the weeks preceding an actual heart attack, some of these symptoms may even appear as “prodromal,” or early, warning signs, according to the Circulation study.

Goldberg, who is familiar with the study, says, “About six weeks before the actual heart attack, women were more likely to experience shortness of breath, unexplained fatigue or stomach pain as an early warning sign that they might have a blocked artery.”

How to find one person is having Heart Attack?

Answer :

By signs and symptoms you can say the persons is having heart attack-

Heart attacks have many variable signs and symptoms. Not all people who have heart attacks experience the same ones or experience them to the same degree. Many heart attacks aren’t as dramatic as the ones you’ve seen on TV or in the movies.

For example, heart attack symptoms in women, in older adults and in people with diabetes tend to be less pronounced. Some people have no symptoms at all. Still, the more signs and symptoms you have, the greater the likelihood that you may be having a heart attack.

Warning signs and symptoms of a heart attack include:

  * Pressure, fullness or a squeezing pain in the center of your chest that lasts for more than a few minutes

  * Pain extending beyond your chest to your shoulder, arm, back, or even to your teeth and jaw

  * Increasing episodes of chest pain

  * Prolonged pain in the upper abdomen

  * Shortness of breath

  * Sweating

  * Impending sense of doom

  * Lightheadedness

  * Fainting

  * Nausea and vomiting

A heart attack can occur anytime — at work or play, while you’re resting, or while you’re in motion. Some heart attacks strike suddenly, but many people who experience a heart attack have warning signs and symptoms hours, days or weeks in advance. The earliest predictor of an attack may be recurrent chest pain (angina) that’s triggered by exertion and relieved by rest. Angina is caused by temporary, insufficient blood flow to the heart. The medical term for insufficient blood flow to the heart is “cardiac ischemia.”-

Can a heart attack make your left arm go numb?

I have been having this pain in my chest for a couple hours now and don’t know what it is. I am debating going to the ER just ’cause I don’t have the money. My right are is also starting to go numb and the pain just stays. What could this be?

Please help me!

Answer :

Any time you are having chest pain, it is a good idea to go get checked out. If your left arm is numb also, it could be your heart. I would chew an aspirin, and head to the emergency room. Call an ambulance if you don’t have anyone to drive you. Don’t worry about the money. They have to treat you, and you don’t have to pay now. Work out a payment plan later. Better to be safe! Good Luck!

Heart Attack

Saturday, May 10th, 2008

I suffered major heart attack w/ blood clot. Still seeking best nat. subst. for warfarin that raises INR to 2

Warfarin/ coumadin is basically rat poison and the long term effects are not very good. Unfortunately I have not yet found any

effective natural substitute that will keep the blood thinning (INR)

around 2 or a little higher. Pot is not under consideration.

Has anyone had success with nattokinase and how much do you take and how often?

Answer :

Don’t be put off by the word “poison”. Aspirin or Tylenol is a poison if you take it wrong. Coumadin has been used forever has had a prov en track record. There are some other prescription medications…they are far more expensive and haven’t had even close to the efficacy history that coumadin has had. You will have to inject yourself tho. If I were your doctor I would tire of your non-compliance and wish you would go to someone else. You are being ridiculous

I had a small heart attack 2 years ago. I am 58 years old now. Which “soft” style martial arts can I learn?

I did not have open heart surgery or bypass surgery. I do have stent implants. I still have slight chest pain occasionally, but I am doing ok. My primary goal is for self defence because I will soon become a senior citizen.

I am 5′10″ about 160 lbs. Plain and simple, I have to admit I am a coward. I was thinking that a soft style martial art, might be easier for me to learn, taking my age and health condition into consideration. Could anyone please recommend one? Thank You for taking the time to read this. God Bless You.

I live in New York City. Since I no longer work, I can train full time.

Answer :

There are no “small heart attacks” and, you say your “still having some trouble” I wouldn’t do anything except breathe until I saw the cardiologist and got a look at.

This “still having trouble” bothers me. Are you sure the “stints” were all you needed ?

I think you’d better see your cardiologist first before you do anything.

Heart Attack?

Do you know when your having a heart attack? Because my chest hurts when I like press against it, and Im worried because I dont want to have a heart attack not knowing it. Im only 13. Im just really scared. I dont have any other symptoms besides the chest pain. Someone please help…

Answer :

changes are this is a gastro intestinal issue, when you produce gas, you can have chest discomfort, when you inhale air, it might feel like a stabbing pain etc.. usually the entire chest area aches. Try taking a tums or antacid. At 13 it is unlikely that you are having a heart attack… also usually when a heart attack occurs you experience tingling numbness in arms, shoulders, or hands, lack of oxygen to the lungs, cannot breathe properly.

I thought i was having a heart attack, but i think it was indigestion?

having never had indigestion before, the other nite i was woken by the most painful ache in my back and in my ribs, i really thought i was having a heart attack, i was sick too and thought i was gunna die, everyone i’ve spoken to says it was indigestion… god, never thought it could be so painful….

Answer :

i know its horrible isnt it! I had never had it, and then i got it and i couldnt move, it was painful to walk and i had to go home, i even went straight to the doctor (i too thought it was too painful just to be indigestion) and my husband called me a hypochondriac. Oh well, im with you on the pain

What doed a heart attack feel like, and does it always hurt, what are the symptoms?

have common sense, if you died of a heart attack you obviously cant answer this but some people had heart attacks and lived

Answer :

They tell me I had a massive silent heart attack.

I had back pain for many years (starting in my 20’s). I went to doctors, took medications, had MRI’s, xrays etc.

My cardiologist ( who I got in the hospital) told me that I had been misdiagnosed and that the back pain was my heart. He was right.

If you are concerned that you are having a problem - go to the doctor- they can determine if you are having heart problems via a blood test. It’s not something to mess with or take chances.

Look up the American Heart Association. They have good information.

If a person lives alone and has a heart attack how long do the paramedics have to make it before they die?

Answer :

Your brain starts to die after about 8 minutes - which begins shutting down your vital functions. There comes a time, when it’s not worth being resuscitated.

Is this indigestion or a heart attack?

Hey, you guys, for a year now, I have been having major left sided chest pain. When I first got this pain, I went into the ER twice, and both times they said it was not my heart. They did give me Ibuprofen, which was supposed to kill some inflammation or infection I had contracted inside my chest. But today, I don’t know, I only ate once, and just a while ago, I got the horrible anxiety, chest pain again. I ate something and it went away. Is the stomach up there, like near the breastbone? Eating something relieved it. Then sometimes I cannnot eat because I get bad heartburn or chest pain. What the hell is this? I just want it to go away. Is it psychological? How do I stop this? How do I know it’s not angina?

Also, would nosebleeds mean that I may get a stroke or hemorrage in the future?

Answer :

You do need to go to a doctor. It could be ulcers, gullbladder or something else. Tests need to be run to find out what is happening.

I feel like I am having a heart attack, but I am only 16!?

Today around 7 (about 5 hours ago) I got this pain below my left chest and then my left shoulder and arm started hurting and the pain below my chest went away. Earlier today I felt some pressure on my chest, but that also went away. I can breathe just fine, but my shoulder and arm pain is still there and once in a while below my chest hurts a bit. Are these the symptoms of a heart attack or am I just being paranoid? I am not fat at all, and my family does not have a history of heart problems. What do you think is going on? My parents don’t think I am having a heart attack, they just said to relax and keep an eye out. Help please, and thank you.

Answer :

see your doc in the morning heart attacks kill young people too ,I had one that almost got me so be safe..

Can you have a mini heart attack and be ok without seeing a doctor?

I am not positive this was any kind of mini heart attack but it has happened 3 time in the last 6-7 weeks. My chest in the middle an to the left sometimes the right hurts and my jaw under the chin and left side- it feels like really bad cramps, I will feel sweaty cold and hot at the sametime then light headed. I will get a little paniced but then calm myself by breathing through it & I usually take an iburophen for the pain. They last around 10,20,30 minutes and then I am fine but maybe a little fatigued. I will lay down for a bit and I am ok.I am 45 yrs old female, chunky, great blood pressure but high cholestrol,OTR truck driver husband, 11 yr old twin boys, stay at home mom to busy for a hospital stay and no one to tend to the kids if husband is out and when this happens he usually is.

Answer :

It might be ok. But it could get wore in cases so i would suggest seeing a doctor if you had it for a period of time.

Heart Attack/Panic Attack?

I’ve been highly stressed out for the last 6 months due to several life altering happenings & other major life issues. I have had panic and anxiety attacks before, but yesterday was different.

The pain was centralized over my heart with radiating pains on my left upper body (including shoulder, neck, and right below my breast.) It was accompanied by nausea. I honestly thought I was having a heart attack or getting ready to have one, so I tried to remain calm the rest of the evening. Today I wake up and have the same issue. Is it possible that I did have a heart attack, considering the pain lasting so long, or am I just having a really long panic attack/series of attacks?

Answer :

Don’t take any chances. I’m alive today because I didn’t hesitate to get medical attention when I had my heart attack. If you get a blood test within, I believe, 72 hours, they can tell for sure whether it was a heart attack or not. There’s some chemical indicator in your bloodstream for that long. After that, they’ll be guessing.

In any case, with chest pain, pain being transmitted to other parts of your body, and nausea; you’ve got way too many symptoms to just hope it goes away.

Almost everyone who gets quick treatment survives so don’t take the risk! See a doctor now!

Heart attack, anxiety or heart burn?

I’ve had pressure right at my breast bone for months.. the past 2 days I’ve had a burning feeling going down my left arm. It went away within a 1/2hr. Yesterday the pressure in my chest was a burning pressure all day. On the way home it radiated all over my chest and I became lightheaded and nauseous. I tried not to panic and the ambulance station wasn’t that far from where I was so I drove there. They took me to the hospital and told me they didn’t see anything (they gave me aspirin and nitro on the way and it had little affect). The hospital did blood work and it didn’t show anything, they did a EKG and that didn’t show anything..they gave me Maalox and ? and it helped a little but the pressure and lightheadedness are still there. I don’t get it..it’s not a heart attack, it’s not anxiety and it’s not heart burn.. ???

What is best ex cerise to strengthen heart muscle after an attack?

Answer :

No One: Start with Chikita’s Answer.

No. Two: Don’t let Toodd’s Answer scare you off. The heart is a muscle and muscles can be made stronger. He does go on to give some good advice.

No. Three: Althere’s Answer is a Good Beginning Exercise. Walking is good for the heart.

No. Four: Heart Attack Jack’s Answer: The best exercise, is the one done on a regular and consistent basis. Start out light until you find your limitations. I suffered slight heart damage as a result of a heart attack two years ago. My doctor says the heart will probably not heal, but should be OK.

Not to second guess my doctor, but as the good book says, As a man thinketh, so is he. I firmly am believing in total healing of my heart through diet, exercise, and faith in Jesus, who tells me, by his stripes we are healed. I believe it and speak it.

Could I have suffered a mild heart attack?

Monday it felt like someone kicked me in the back, but no one did.

Tuesday was the worst, i had all the symptoms of having a mild heart attack, although the symptoms are like those of an anxiety attack.

Last night i got the same feeling, and I couldnt sleep.

Today i feel a little better.

I know you can have a heart attack at any age, but im only almost 18. I also have heart murmer.

I need to go to my cardiologist, but since im almost 18, I have to find a new one and am waiting to hear back from my primary doctor.

Answer :

If the pain you are describing is the only symptom you have, then its not an indication of a heart attack, especially at your age, unless you have some pre-existing heart problem other than a heart murmur. But it is always a good idea to check with a doc with these types of pains even if it isn’t a heart attack.

Most likely, you are experiencing the effects of a muscle spasm, pinched nerve, or vertebra that has slipped out of place. In the mean time, you can try to do some stretching exercises to stretch you shoulder blades and the back and side muscles, and also move the spine to loosen it up. One easy way to determine if this is a muscle/spinal problem is to sit on a carpeted floor with your knees up at your chest, put your arms around your legs, so you form a tight ball, and then roll your body back over your head a few times. If the pain is caused by muscles or the spine you will notice a painful, sensitive spot.

Heart attack at 14?

Is that possible, because I think I just had one. I myself find it to be pretty outrageous, but earlier I was reading, and all of the sudden it hurt really bad to exhale. It felt like stabbing on the left side of my chest, so I wound up laying on my bed for like, 30 minutes trying to find an easy way to breath without getting a stabbing feeling. Then towards the end of my trouble breathing, my back (the area behind the left side of my chest) began to ache badly. Then my jaw started to hurt. I was chewing gum at the time, so I assumed it had something to do with that. This was like 1 hour ago, and it still hurts a bit to breath. And I also thought my breathing was asthma related, because I used to have a severe asthma problem when I was young, for an example of the severity of my problem, I was on a name to name basis with many of the doctors in my local ER. But later, when I looked up my symptoms (extreme pain in chest, back aching, and jaw pain) I kept coming up with heart attack

Answer :

Doubt it was a heart attack.

Sounds like asthma or heart burn.

What is the best time for safe sex?

means rigth time to have sex to avoid pregnency

    Answer :

Oh dear. It is essential that the information you recieve on this subject is correct and you are getting some bad advice. Cute Angels answer is exactly the opposite of what it should be. Your period is not your fertile time. The fertile time and therefore the time you can get pregnant is when you ovulate which is approximately 1/2 of the way between your periods. If your periods are irregular there is not way to predict the ovulation. Sperm can live 3 days in the womans body so sex during the 3 days before ovulation could result in pregnancy. The egg can survive for 3 days so sex during the three days after ovulation could result in pregnancy. However, many things can affect the regularity of your periods and therefore when you will ovulate. It is quite rare to get pregnant during your period as the hormones during that time are different than during ovulation and technically the egg should no longer be fertile. The period is your bodies way of eliminating the unfertilized egg
(which should be too old to fertilize at that point. A really good article on this subject can be found at wikipedia.org/wiki/rhythm_method#reasons…

    Answer :

Sex during pregnancy, any trimester, is safe in most cases. The only time it wouldn’t be safe is if you are having a difficult pregnancy. In my wife’s three pregnancies we had sex from the day she found out up until the day or two before she had the babies. Best of luck with your pregnancy and if you have concerns like this you should speak with your doctor.

Should teenagers be taught sex education over abstinence? best answer gets 10 points?

I need to do a class debate and need some helpon the above question

    Answer :

Abstinence is a form of birth control, which means its part of sex education. So if you don’t have sex you don’t need to learn about STD’s etc? That makes no sense.

I think sex education needs to be taught so teenagers are aware of their choices. Like the pill, using a condom and the list goes on. And abstinence is a form of birth control. So wouldn’t it make sense to teach everything?

Abstinence is Refraining from sexual intercourse. This is what the dictionary says. So if you are going to teach sex education you need to teach everything.

    Safe sex in Korea?

In your experience, is it safe, or does it burn with a new partner.?

    Answer :

The number of new HIV cases in South Korea increased by 10.4% in 2006, according to a report released Thursday by the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Korea Herald reports. According to the report, 751 new cases of HIV were reported in the country in 2006, 689 of which occurred among men and 62 among women. A total of 680 new cases were reported in 2005, according to the Herald (Hae-in, Korean Herald, 1/19). The report also found that 483 new HIV cases were transmitted through unsafe sexual practices — 273 through heterosexual sex and 210 among men who have sex with men — and one case was transmitted vertically. Condom use in the country in 2006 was recorded at 25% .

If that doesn’t answer your question then did you know that many middle school and high school students in Seoul, South Korea, lack sufficient knowledge and understanding of HIV/AIDS and have negative views concerning the disease, according to a recent survey conducted by the Korea Federation for HIV/AIDS Prevention, the Times reports? According to the survey, 64.9% of middle school and high school students said that HIV could be transmitted through mosquito bites; 59.2% said the virus could be transmitted through kissing; 57.5% said sharing water glasses can result in transmission; 54.7% said HIV can be transmitted through toilet seats; and 53.1% said gay relationships can result in transmission. According to the Times, negative views concerning HIV/AIDS also was prevalent, with 58.6% of students saying that HIV/AIDS is a “disgusting disease”; 52.1% said they would not sit next to an HIV-positive person; 43.2% said they would not eat meals with HIV-positive people; and 45.4% said that people
living with HIV/AIDS should take full responsibility for the disease, the Times reports. So, in other words wrap it up or better yet try abstinance.

HELPPP? :( no one will answer and im scared?

Right first of all I think I have a 39 day cycle… I’m not sure.. but that was the number of days my last cycle was.

Me and my boyfriend have been having sex unprotected and he has pulled out before he actually came…. once… ok the other time he accidently came inside me…. but that was only 8 days after my last period.

Today is the 12th day from my last period and I just read up that this would be one of the most fertile days of an average woman’s cycle.. does this apply to my cycle?

He didn’t *** the second time but he may have pre came as he was veryyy nearly on the verge of cuming before we used a condom?

    Answer :

Lulu, you already know the answer to this question. You very well may be pregnant, no one on YA can tell you otherwise!

Your best bet if this is a worry is to look into plan B *RIGHT NOW* if you don’t want a baby. Get off the computer and down to the pharmacy, now. Use protection every time from now on unless you are actively trying to get pregnant. Pulling out doesn’t work, the rhythm method doesn’t work.

    Good luck to you honey.

Sex for the first time, need help please?

My boyfriend and I are both going to have sex for the first time, I need some help because he doesn’t exactly know what he’s doing either. We both know what to do… but … does he have to pull out before he cums, even with a condom? Or can he ***, and still continue or will that get me pregnant if some sperm seeps through?

Any other advice would be great too… I just want to have safe sex and not get pregnant…

    Answer :

Condoms are the best way to prevent pregnancy as well as diseases but i would also use a vaginal foam in-case the condom breaks, to be safe. You just never know what might happen.

Is it safe to have sex under water when your 9 weeks pregnant? and is it safe to change sex positons?

    Answer :

    yeah….http://www.babycenter.com/0_sex-during-pregnancy-an-overview_390.bc.

When is it safe to have sex after having a baby, my baby is 7 months old and iv kept my partner waiting…?

    Am i selfish???

    Answer :

YOU ARE NOT SELFISH. I waited about 8 months. I was not selfish, I was exausted. My husband was no help with our baby. Sex was the last thing on my mind. If he wanted sex, maybe HE should have been less selfish, stepped up and helped me with child care so I would not have been so tired and tapped out, physically and emotionally all the time. Was I supposed to care for a screaming colicky baby all day, who still woke up 4 times a night for 6 months, make dinner, clean the house and still find time for his needs? I was a sleep deprived maniac just trying to get through the day. An hour a night with him lovingly caring for our baby while I took a break would have made all the difference.

    Diet Fitness

    Monday, May 5th, 2008

Many people today are much more aware of their own health and fitness. In addition, these people, and many others, are now with that desire to sculpt their bodies to ahieve that magazine-cover look. As a result, gyms, spas and other health fitness centers have proliferated across to meet the needs of the fitness buffs and lovers .

Even on the television fitness equipment, weight loss products and other paraphernalia to improve fitness have more or less gained control over the airwaves and their way into the households. But exerise is not the only way to that body beautiful. It also means that part of the responsibility of the food choice to eat. Because the healthy and fit doing a diet also requires fitness.

Diet fitness is just as essential as exercise itself. Diet for fitness gives the food an essential needs to restore worn-out muscles and a healthy growth. Diet fitness should never be taken for granted. With the popularity of keeping fit, many different views, methods, programs and diet strategies have been formulated by many professionals. These include high-carbohydrate diets and high fat diets. Whih a more effective and which one must choose to follow?

The first thing to know would be the fundamental differences between these two approaches diet. As the name indicates, high-carbohydrate diet focuses on taking carbohydrate-rich foods, while high-fat diets endorses fat-rich foods. High-carbohydrate diets have been used to glycogen stored in the liver and muscles. Glycogeen is a complex glucose that large amounts of energy ready for use in anaerobic exercises .

Fats, on the other hand, accounts for nown is the richest source of calories. It actually contains 2.5 times more calories than carbohydrates and proteins at each other. Studies also show that the body 24 calories to metabolize carbohydrates, while only 3 to burn down fat. So which one to follow? A person can follow a high carbohydrate and low fat diet fitness or vice versa. It is absolutely not advisable to both simultaneously, unless of course if you want to gain body fat.

But then diet fitness is not all about the loss of fat, one must also take account of their diet, so bold way. Research shows that sustainable loss of weight can only be reached on a diet that suits the individual food preferences, lifestyle, medical profile and satiety signals.

Fitness programs everywhere can help you shed from excess pounds, but only one diet can help you stay sexy, and it is one that you most satisfied. Other important elements of a diet fit moderation, balance and variation. One must be careful not to leave important nutrients and other substances for the healthy body works. Health organisations are clear about the quantities of nutrients an individual should have the body .

Low Fat high sugar, low-fat high-sugar, the question is not the diet program will work, but it is the work for you. The quest for a sexy and healthy body does not have to burden an individual, health, fitness, nutrition does not mean that the same type of food for life. You can also try to adventurous and testing of new foods out there. Who knows? You may even discover spinach interesting.

Preventing gum disease and tooth loss?

BESIDES brushing and flossing, and seeing the dentist regularly, what else can you do to prevent gum disease and tooth loss? Are there any special mouthwashes, supplements, etc? Tooth decay problems run in my family.

    Thanks!

    Answer :

eat healthy, check with your GP to see for other systemic disease like diabetes, etc.

How do you reverse gum disease?

My gums are receeding and I”m starting to have sensitive teeth. I go to the dentist every 3 months for cleanings and have been to a perio a few years ago to have gingavectomy and surgery to correct this but it’s starting again. Anyone have any ideas how to reverse or help this. Any homeopathic remedies or anything? I bought a water pick and use some peroxide every so often but hate the taste. Also bought some periomed but that doesn’t work. Neither does Sensidyne or proenamal. I don’t want to have surgery again. Help

    Answer :

the best thing u can do is brush and floss your teeth as often as you can .. mouth wash may be of some help. wacth what you eat .

Do i have periodontal disease, i dont think so but whats your opinion, plz read?

In the last 3 years i have had 5 teeth extracted including 2 Wisdom teeth BUT i think most of them were because the teeth being scaled down to fit in a crown & then having an infection after so thats why the extraction, but if you get an infection after a root canal treatment, sraping the teeth for crowns, fillings etc does that mean its a periodontal disease? or is it just bad luck because the dental work doesnt go as planned, now 3 weeks ago i had my upper tooth extracted & the tooth next is sensative & my dentist said its an gum infection and might need to be extracted, why is this? its also a tiny bit loose but its not periodontal is it? any opinion, input would be appreciated & by the way can a dentist tell by an X-Ray if you have periodontal desiease or not, thanks.

    Answer :

It sounds to me that you are suffering from abscessed teeth… which is an infection that usually originates from the inside of the tooth… the root canal is the usual treatment for such.

You could see another dentist, or an endodontist (specializes in the treatment of root canals), for another opinion if you are unsure of the treatment you are receiving.

Periodontal disease is an infection of the supporting structures of a tooth… i.e. gums, bone, etc.

An x-ray can give a good indication of periodontal disease because you can see significant bone loss. However, the best indicator of active periodontal disease is something called a periodontal probe… it measures the depth of the pocket between the tooth and gum. 1-3mm is a healthy level. The clinical attachment level is the best indicator of any periodontal disease (past and present)… because it not only measures the current pocket depth, but also adds in any recession you have had, indicating past periodontal disease… If you have ever had periodontal disease, it is still your diagnosis. Periodontal disease is preventable and treatable, but not curable…

I hope I helped… you should follow up with some questions for your dentist and/or dental hygienist… they should be happy to answer any questions you have.

I have periodontal disease, scared to find out what will happen. Anyone been through this, what will happen?

I probably need dentures after surgery. Do they put you under? How painful is it?

    Answer :

Everyone is looking for the symptom, cure, and treatment for periodontal disease, gingivitis, bleeding gums and bad breath because no one wants to loose their teeth and many health problem have now been directly linked to gum disease including heart attacks and strokes. It’s a much bigger contributor that originally thought!

OraMD is an all-natural treatment that tackles the problems associated with periodontal disease, pockets and receding gums and is also extremely effective against chronic bad breath product. Because the ingredients are natural enemies of bacteria, it cleans your mouth and stops halitosis ( bad breath ) in it’s tracks.

    Periodontal disease?

Hi- I have moderate to advanced perio disease and am currently undergoing treatment. Went to the dentist yesterday about pulling 3 of my top teeth- was excited because my “new teeth” will be much straighter than the current ones. But today my gum tissue on my bottom front tooth is totally receded. (Shouldnt have eaten that ripe tomato). The tooth doesnt feel real loose but is there anything I can do to rectify the situation. I brushed with my sonic care and rinsed with the prescription mouth rinse and then warm salt water. It looks awful. Is there a chance that it will just fall out? I would die without something to put in its place……Surely the dentist would have suggested we pull that one too.

    Answer :

Tooth decay (cause of bad breath) and tooth loss can be due to advanced periodontal disease, an infection in the mouth that can create certain health issues in and of itself. But tooth loss is not the greatest concern of having this mouth infection. The truth is that the teeth may not be the last victims of gum disease because it also has the potential to spread to the jaw bone. Just as the toxins caused the gums and teeth to dissolve, they will also cause the disintegration of the jaw bone itself. Further than this, the toxins could spread from the mouth to the heart and soon very possible brings the infection to other parts of the body. There is much to learn about periodontal disease linked to the heart and other complex organs of the body. While there is much time to consider maximum oral health care (brushing and flossing), proper diet, quitting smoking and alcohol, regular dental checkup and the use of a natural mouthwash - you really have to before periodontal disease threatens yo

Just because your gums bleed during brushing does that mean you have a gum disease? Can Listerine help stop it

    Answer :

Bleeding of the gums tends to mean two things:

    A. gum disease

    B. brushing too hard

Its most likelty that you’re dealing with gingivitis, which causes the gums to be inflamed. Odds are, you can easily deal with this at home (unless you’ve been ignoring it for quite some time.) Mouthwash can help, but its not the total solution (You don’t need to buy Listerine, the ones by Crest or Colgate, or a store brand works too.) In order to stop the gum disease, you need to stop what causes it: brush at least twice a day (preferably after every meal.) Floss (twice a day/after every meal.)

Gum disease is linked to tartar and plaque, so if you can minimize the tarter that builds up (which then turns into plaque) you’ll save yourself from gingivitis. If you have dental coverage, I would recommend you see your dentist. Often they have products that work very well on issues like this, and they can scale your teeth if they have too. They would also be able to tell your gum disease has progressed enough to mean more aggressive action.

If you can’t afford to see a dentist, I really recommend you get more fanatical about dental care. Brush, floss, and rinse after each meal, or as soon after a meal as you can (and rise you’re mouth out after you eat if you can’t brush.)

    Advice please on gum disease?

i have gum disease and have lost most of my back teeth, i have had root treatment on the three i have left. I have a cap on one of my teeth and one of my front teeth is loose. I seem to suffer one infection after an other and have an awful taste coming from these teeth and suffer from bad breath i am at the end of my tether with this as it is so embarasing my dentist seems to just want to do root treatment but i end up losing the teeth eventually im so desperate that im thinking of just getting them pulled and hopefully resolve the bad breath i would like to know what options i have as i dont want to have teeth that come in and out any advice would be gratefully accepted

    Answer :

Your dentist may not be qualified to treat gum disease, although he may be trying in your case. You need to see a Periodontist for an exam and his advise. If you’ve had root planing it needs to be followed up with extensive antibiotic treatment placed in the gums, you also need to be seen a lot more often. You probably need gum surgery so you can keep the teeth and their surrounding tissue clean. With deep pockets it is impossible for a patient to keep them clean with just a toothbrush and floss. Your only able to reach about 3mm which is the typical depth of healthy tissue. If you have deeper pockets, which I’m sure you do, then you can’t keep them clean even with your Dentist’s root planing treatment unless he does it every day. If you don’t want to loose the rest of your teeth, you need to see a periodontist

very quickly. Follow the advise given and continue with follow up care from the periodontist office and ask him to refer you to another dentist to do the follow up treatment, someone he knows that knows how to treat perio disease rather that just let you live with it. The loose teeth may benefit from some splinting to give them more stability until the infection is cleared up. This will also clear up your bad breath problem. It is the infection that is smelling and tasting so bad. Not to mention that this infection is affecting your whole body also.

Gum Disease Or A Gum Injury??

OK. So I am 14, and i have braces. I wash my teeth twice a day. My father has Paradontosis. Recently I’ve notice that one of the gums of my front teeth is a little swolen, and there seems to be some space between the gum and the tooth. It only hurts if I apply pressure to it. My other gums seem fine. There is some space betwen my braces and the gums, so I think that it isn’t because of my braces. What could it be??

    Answer :

Gum disease is not a permanent condition and reversing it’s effects is very possible through superior oral hygiene. While there are many ways to reverse gum disease, the most effective way is diligent daily oral care which can be accomplished at home. Daily cleansing of the mouth and the removal of plaque in it is also an effective way since plaque buildup is a major cause of gum disease. Everyone should learn that gum disease is caused by plaque buildup so as early as possible remove plaque that you can’t see below the gum-line. Gum disease is not a permanent condition, thus, it can be reversed because no permanent damage has occurred to the bone supporting the teeth. As always, good oral hygiene for reversing gum disease is a special need together with the use of a natural dental care product that can be a long-term solution for reversing gum disease by cleaning the mouth and killing the bacteria that causes plaque, thus treating the root cause of gum disease.

    Gum Swelling?

    Good Morning,

Recently I got my Gum swell for the 1st time so far, at first its starts from my upper wisdom teeth in between two teeths, then i pressed it and bleeded and then it destroyed leaving a small raches wound. Now it started in my lower wisdom teeth, its painfull even if i press the teeth near swelling.

Im a regular smoker and recently I increased my food by adding an apple and half a liter of Fresh Milk every night and a vitamin tablet every morning after Break fast.

Please kindly help with providing me some usefull tips

    Thanking you

    Ansar

    Answer :

Your gums could be swollen because of something lodged under them or it could be gum disease or gingivitis. You really should see a dentist and have your teeth cleaned and checked to make sure you don’t have these conditions. They cause bone loss which could later lead to tooth loss. Smoking is also a large contributor to gum disease since it restricts blood flow to your gums. The sooner you catch gum disease the better your chance of saving your teeth.

Opposite of Weight Loss FAQ :)

    Pregnancy Weight Gain?

Which is the best antidepressant that will not cause weight gain?

    Answer :

I agree wellbutrin is an effective antidepressant that works well without weight gain or sexual side effects for most people and is generally well tolerated. Like someone else said which ever works best for you, as each person reacts differently to certain medications.

Wellbutrin XL is now available in generic (the SL has been generic for years). I find I tolerate the extended release tablet once a day tablet much better than the slow release which you need to take more frequently.

Statistics: Best formula for average weight gain?

I did a survey of nearly 1000 people. In the survey I have the starting weight and ending weight (the participants were trying to gain weight).

What is the best formula for eliminating the most errors in finding the average weight gain?

Right now I am using the standard elementary formula for finding a mean: (Total weight gain by all participants/ number of participants).

Is there a more accurate way? I find that a few participants are throwing off the average, probably because they reported wrong (the survey was online).

    Answer :

The most accurate way, if you have the before and after results (paired test), of each subject is to perform a hypothesis Z-test on the DIFFERENCES of before and after weights. Analyzing it this way, there can be no outliers and the differences in the starting weights is eliminated.

    Your test statistic is Z = Dbar/(sd/vn)

Where Dbar is the average difference weight gain and is compared against a 0 weight gain.

sd is the standard deviation of the differences.

The critical Z value depends on your a-risk.

I need your opinions on weight gain PLEASE?

I’m 5ft, I weigh just over 6 stone. I am unhappy with my size, I want fuller breats, a bigger bum & definately know I need more meat on me.

I do eat like a pig, however, I have fast metabolism and I can’t seem to gain weight.

My family suggested eating atleast 4000/5000 Calories per day if I want to gain weight because that may work?

But - I don’t really know what foods are best to eat to help me reach 4000/5000 Calories if I only eat (normally) 2 hot meals a day & then snacks all through out.

Would it be best if I tried eating 3 hot meals a day?

And snacked 15-20 minutes in between or what?

I really want to gain weight, I feel uncomfortable with my size. I don’t look super skinny, I am in proportion but I would feel more comfy if I was atleast a size 8 or 10. (Currently a UK size 4, which is a US size 0)

I’m not sure if I can get pills or liquids to take from my doctor to sort out my metabolism?

Please help, It would be much appreciated!

    THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

    Answer :

you would be very silly to eat 5000 cals a day, you will do yourself more harm than good, your heart will not be able to stand the sudden change in diet and no doubt your arteries will start to clog prematurely..my brother had this same problem and he went to a health food store and bought food supplement that weight lifters ect use, but didnt do any excercise, he manages to put on a few extra pound..theree are lots of people out there who are trying to lose weight but people dont appreciate what it is like to be under weight, and its not usualy because of under eating………if you really need to do this then i stress to you, please try to do it healthily and not just eating crap cos thats not good…hope this helps x

What is the best weight loss method for diabetics type 1?

It is known that insulin creates weight gain so what can a diabetic do to lose weight? Is there a better insulin system or pills which can be added aside from Metformin? Thanks for all replies.. cherie

    Answer :

Insulin plays a major role in weight gain, and even keeps us from losing weight. Insulin is responsible for the storage of all the foods we eat: carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. However, high glycemic carbohydrates cause blood sugars to rise very rapidly, therefore causing the pancreas to release insulin very rapidly. In some people the body overcompensates and releases too much. The insulin will store these carbohydrates/sugars very quickly. The good side is you get a quick burst of energy; the bad side is most of what is eaten will be stored as fat. Since the blood sugars rose very rapidly, the insulin will try to bring the blood sugars within normal ranges very rapidly, causing the sugars to be pushed by the insulin into every cell, including fat cells. On the other hand, if you eat low-to-moderate glycemic carbohydrates, blood sugars rise more slowly; therefore so does insulin. When this happens more of what you ate is pushed into your body’s cells to be used for energy, and w
hatever is left over will be stored in fat cells. Weight loss programs ensure how to control insulin and blood sugar levels so optimal weight loss results will be achieved.

Insulin activates lipoprotein lipase. This enzyme acts as a roadblock for the removal of triglycerides (fat) out of the fat cells. Insulin also inhibits another enzyme called hormone sensitive lipase. This enzyme is responsible for the breaking down of stored fats, on your waist so to speak. During exercise if insulin levels are high, your body will use more energy from carbohydrates/sugars than from fat. Now you can see why most people see very little or no results in weight reduction, even though they exercise. The key is to control your insulin and blood sugars levels

Which is worse? Gain fast or lose fast?

I have heard many people say it’s dangerous to lose weight fast but what about all those people that gained weight fast.

I think rapid weight gain is more common than rapid weight loss.

    Answer :

You know it’s interesting, I was in your same situation about 3 months ago (during Christmas time), and it wasnt until a friend told me about http://www.findhowtoloseweightfast.com that I was able to get a solid answer!

Basically a group of people are reviewing all the different weight loss methods that ARE working, from herbal supplements to diet strategies. My mom (who is in her late 50s) lost about 20lbs over the last 2 months through a diet plan they recommended.

I lost 45lbs!! Of course I “cheated” and went the herbal supplement pill route, but I chose the same one Oprah now uses, so to each their own right :)

Good luck either way! Tons of information to success out there!

Diet has ronaldinho’s weight gain issues under control????!!!!?

DID ANYBODY NOTICED THAT HE PUT FIVE-KILOS ON WEIGHT SINCE THE START OF THE LIGA CAMPAIGN???

I didn’t!!! but under the new weight-loss regime, Ronaldinho reportedly has lost close to three kilos and is approaching his ideal weight once more!

BUT WAS THAT THE REASON WHY DINHO HAS BEEN SLOW OFF THE MARK IN THE 2006/07 SEASON?

HOW MANY PER CENT WOULD U GIVE RONNIE AT THE MOMENT?

I would say 80% but I hope he will be 100% soon!!!

SOMEBODY TELL RONNIE TO GO JOGGING OR STOP GOING OUT WITH RONALDO AT MC DONALDS,OR SOMETHING!!! just kidding…I’m sure he doesn’t do that and that he is still a sweet goody!!! LOVE HIM!!!

he’s got a match today against mallorca and I’m gonna pay attention at every sign of fat and see if it’s true or not!

    ~peace allz~

    Answer :

“SOMEBODY TELL RONNIE TO GO JOGGING OR STOP GOING OUT WITH RONALDO AT MC DONALDS,OR SOMETHIN” <<<< this statment from you made my day! this is so hilarious. hahaha. you are so adorable especially the way you care for “your” Ronnie.

I have noticed myself he was little bit out of shape but I am not really all that concerned. Real Madrid and Brazil have their own physical fitness team and I am sure they must have brought it to Ronaldinho’s attention. Plus he has been the top scorer for Real Madrid this season so he seems to be enjoying his game with Real Madrid. IT IS ONLY WHEN HE IS PALYING WITH BRAZIL SOMETHING GOES WRONG- HE JUST IS NOT AT HIS BEST! It really puzzles me but Ron is Ron. A True Soccer Genius but at the same time I hope he starts shedding the pounds which I am sure he hass been doing.

Added : LOL …..You are totally right! I confused myself there for a second. Just replace Real Madrid with Barcelona and You will get what I am saying. I know you were talking about Ronaldinho but for some unknown reasons instead of using Barcelona, I was using Real Madrid…In fact, I was tired last nite when I wrote the answer. So, I lost my concentration a bit.

    Thanks for the Correction!!!!

    Weight loss the healthy way

    Monday, April 28th, 2008

Nearly 108 million Americans were overweight or obese in 1999. Until now, obesity is still a serious problem and is expected to reach epidemic levels by 2020 .

One way to prevent this scenario is that people are aware of the risks of being overweight or obese.

Here are some diseases that you put yourself in danger, if you have a lot of extra pounds:

    1. Heart disease
    2. Stroke
    3. Diabetes
    4. Cancer
    5. Arthritis
    6. Hypertension with stress

Weight control helps to prevent and combat these diseases.

The rapid weight loss methods, which spread like a fire in those days, no lasting results. More often than not, dieting methods, dietary drinks, food and supplement pills or do not work. If they do, the results are only temporary.

It is better to focus on a healthy weight loss option is the life of results. You need to set realistic goals and not expect to lose a lot of pounds in a short period of time.

Here are some tips on how you can lose those unwanted pounds the healthy way:

    1st Not starve your self.

The key to a healthier way to lose weight is: Do not diet.

You can be very happy and feel that you lose those unwanted flabs on your abdomen and thigh Skipping meals. But do not forget that this is not last long. Your body can not tolerate having sufficient food to fuel the energy that you every day.

If you get used to skipping one or two meals a day, your stored calories are consumed, rather than the energy that would have from your meals. So, if you eat only a huge sandwich in one day, in the end it just for your problem (ie heights, buttocks, hips).

    2nd Start the day right.

Mothers always say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Do you have a healthy meal in the morning to jump-start your metabolism.

Your food intake, after you wake up is used to burn fat all day long.

3rd Eat small, healthy meals frequently.
