I had been dying my hair black for about 4 years but have recently stopped dying it for probably about a year. I have naturally blonde hair and so about half of my hair is the natural color, but at the tips there is still the black. I did not want to use a hair color remover on my hair because i heard that can be damaging, so i’m just waiting until enough of my hair is blonde that i can cut off the rest of the black. A slightly darker brown would go well in your hair, however don’t go too much darker or lighter as it may be too much change, too fast. I would suggest a chocolate brown, then maybe a few blonde foils in the front over the top of it.

I think you look beautiful, and if you’re friends can’t accept you for who you are then they’re either jealous, stuck up or just plain mean. Be proud of who you are and know you are *not* ugly, but sometimes it is nice to have a change.

Best hair colour for me?

i have naturally light brown hair but over the past couple of years i have put lots of blonde highlights in it. some of my hair is now nearly peroxide blonde and other parts middle blonde, with the underneath my original hair color. I’m thinking about a change. i was thinking of getting it dyed my natural colour, maybe a bit lighter so it is very light brown, and getting some more blonde highlights- but very few, just to give it a lighter feel. i was also thinking about a dark reddish-brown, but I’m not sure if that will suit me. i have natuarly quite pale skin, however at the moment it is tanned. does anybody have any recommendations for what i should do? also i live in the uk, does anybody know any really good hairdressing companies? many thanks.

ps: id say do a nice deep brown with red undertones. that way if you dont like the red, you can go darker brown.. should look lovely on your fair skin. besides, brunettes were all over the runways at this years nyc fashion week + bold color, so brown w some red and you cant go wrong!

NO it wont strip your hair color! But it will make it lighter the longer you stay out in the sund with the vinegar and water on!

1. How much vinegar should i use and how much water? Depending on how thick your hair is, Use about a cup of vinegar and a cup of water! Rub threw your intire hair!

I have very thick long brown hair with a natural kink. I started using hair straighteners about 5 years ago. It really does make my hair nice and straight but alas the usual damage occured. Broken hair. Also parts of my hair have become very dry at the ends and frizzy even after using the following products. When i straighten it now i can always see little broken hair standing out. When i go out and stand under a spotlight (Usually in pub toilets) i have a heart attack because it stands out so much. I want to know if anyone has the answer to how i can protect more broken hair and also how to tame the ones i’ve got. I do use Tresemme Hair protecting spray and have done for many years but i don’t think this product is working for me. I do try all sorts of straightening balms and I also use VO5 tame & shine as i’m straightening but none of it seems to work. The best person to advise would be an hairdresser i would think but any suggestions would be appreciated

There is a product called biosilk that I use on my hair and my nieces hair. I am half african american and half caucasian, she is half caucasian and half hatian. When I were my hair curly i just put a dime size in my towel dried hair after i wash it and let it air dry the rest of the way. The real key is to keep the hair moisterized there are lots of good products on the market that you would be able to use, but look for those that seal in the hair cuticle, when they arent sealed, frizziness occurs.

I don’t know if you’re relaxed or natural. Products that were made for all hair types worked best on my hair, so I loved Pantene (not the line for women of color because my hair didn’t respond for it) and Dove products. For my natural hair I use natural oils and butters. You have to experiment with different products to find something that works well for your hair and you might go through a lot of brands/products before you find the right ones.

I use the rescue sleep without any relief from insomnia. However when I use it and spray twice, I am very groggy when I awaken.

I have tried a Bach flower remedy and did not get any results whatsoever, I tried it daily for a month. yesterday I went to the local health food store and the prices went down from $14.95 a small vial to $1.00 clearance. I have used a similar remedy to the classic Bach rescue remedy (not the sleep kind) during emotional trauma and it helped right away but part of me believes in this case it could have been the placebo effect.

Try it and see if it works for you. Everyone is different. Give it a good 2 weeks before deciding.

Rescue Remedy in Pregnancy?

Hi- Its fine for adults, children and animals. I use it for nerves, and it works so quickly for me, that i forget why i took it in the first place-honestly. I give it to my dogs[a few drops in their water]if they are stressed. AND, When we had to box,my daughters horse[first time] to take him 20 miles to be schooled, i put some in her mouth, and she was no trouble at all and very calm. I think its great stuff, and if you give your child about 5 drops on the tongue,or in some cold drink,it should help a treat. There is nothingthat can hurt them in it, just essences of flowers in grape juice. good Luck

Homeopathic/Herbal Remedy for Anxiety?

I have occasional bouts of anxiety that can be triggered by situations that are unfamiliar to me, pms, & insomnia. I’ve tried prescriptions (ativan, xanax) but I’ve just moved, & understandably, my new doc (psychiatrist) isn’t real gung-ho on just dosing a controlled substance. My insomnia (it’s a circle - I’m thinking too much, can’t fall asleep, brain goes into over-drive, still can’t sleep, then I start getting anxious & around 3am I’m crabby & tired & unable to sleep) I’ve tried Lunesta, Rozerem, & Ambien to no avail. Stronger drugs work; but I wake up so tired/hung-over. Melatonin gives me nightmares. Searching on the internet, I read about 2 homeopathic remedies… arsenicum album & lycopodium. Does anyone know anything about these guys? Can they be taken together? How should they be dosed? Etc? I *don’t* want to get high, I don’t want to “escape”… I just want something
 that works & not something to take every day/several times a day — only when needed & a few doses are ok.

if i have an anxiety attack i usually take something called Dr Bach. it’s a natural flower remedy that will for sure calm you down. my father passed away when i was little and to cope with everything we all took the stuff and it REALLY calms you down. you can only get it at healthfood stores not chemists (i don’t think) and it comes in a spray or drop form. it actually tastes really good lol. you don’t have to take it all the time, just as you need it but unfortunately there isn’t some magical cure that you can take once a week!! i actually have the same sort of thing as you. i never get to sleep and i over think way to much!!!! maybe see a counsellor about your problems and i REALLY hope you feel much better!!!!! good luck!!!!

Does anyone have a dachshund dog that has seizures?

I have a mini and he has had 3 seizures. Should I worry about it?

So far I have had a couple of dashunds, but non of them had seizures, but my Lab/Border Collie, does get them. I do have to agree with the other people who suggested that it would be a good idea to take him to the vet. But I found something else that helps a lot. Our dog gets seizures when he gets very stressed. I found that Rescue remedy, from the Bach Flower remedy range helps our dog get over his seizures very quickly. The other thing that you can do for him when he gets the seizures is talk to him and stroke him while he is having the seizure that will help him calm down. Good luck for your both.

Hello! There were some good answers already posted, but since I work in the therapy field, and with anxiety a lot, I thought I’d round out some recommendations for you. Here they are:

1) L-Theaninne - a great and scientifically proven natural muscle relaxer used for anxiety and sleep

2) Bach Flower remedy - “Rescue Remedy” Drops to be taken under tongue

3) Lavender tonic

4) Brain Entrainment CDs - Help bring the vibrational rate of the brain to a more relaxed level. A site called www.hemi-sync.com have the best.

5) Be careful with Benadryl. Most folks feel quite dopey taking this for anxiety or sleep.
